“You bought a place, where?” I asked wondering why she hadn’t told me before about it.

“Yah I got a place about a week ago, I signed the papers the other day.  Jill helped me order furniture and all that so it’s actually kinda like a home I guess.  I really want to make this work, stick around and help Jill.  For once I want to play the grown up.  If you want later I can take you by my place so you can check it out, it’s actually only a few blocks from here.”

“That sounds great, I would love to see your home” Ian looked on smiling, Ashley appeared to really be trying. 

BEEP, BEEP, BEEP “sorry guys that’s me, I have to get back upstairs my shift is almost over, but I’m probably going to have to stay later than expected my replacement has the flu or something.  I think he had too much to drink and is sleeping it off somewhere, but whatever. You guys should head out, I will text if Jaime wakes up” Shit Jaime I completely forgot that, that’s the reason why we’re here.  I am such a crap ass friend here I am making plans with my new girlfriend, wait girlfriend what about Jaime, I think she was asking me out as more than just a friend what am I going to do with her.

“You ok Spence?”

“Huh”

“You just said shit, kinda loudly, are you ok?” Ashley asked griping my hand tightly. 

I smiled back at her, bringing her hand to my lips kissing it softly. “Yah sorry, you know me I was just visiting Spencerland again and their out of cotton candy for the night” They both looked on laughing at my apparent stupidity. 

“Well Spence, it was great catching up with you give Jac a kiss for me and Ashley again it was nice meeting you, I hope to see you again sometime.  Get my sister home safely would you.”

“Will do Ian, it was nice meeting you as well, and I will put in a good word with my sister for you.”

He walked away heading towards the elevator, once he was out of sight I leaned in giving Ashley a soft kiss on the lips “so girlfriends?”
