“me too Spence…I love you so much…” I said trying to hold back my tears

“stop it…” she said shaking her head at me

“stop what? Loving you? I could never do that, and you know that…I will always love you Spencer, always…” I said to her

“Ashley…” She lunged at me, we held each other for a long time, but it wasn’t long enough…I pulled away from her and still held her right hand in mine, I tucked a piece of that gorgeous blond hair behind her ear and whipped away a tear…

“you know I could have held you in my arms forever…but that still wouldn’t have been long enough…” I said looking into those gorgeous blue eyes that were filled with pain

“I love you so much Ashley…” she said

“I know Spence…I know…” I said taking her hand in mine

We spent a few minutes just their together for one of the last times, then we walked back over to the bonfire hand in hand and Aiden came over to us and I gave him a hug

“ash! Senior year, I guess this is it huh?” Aiden said then I looked at Spencer

“yeah…I guess so…” I said looking at Spencer, remembering the conversation we just had

“who thought you and I would have made it…” he said

“not…” I started then Spencer ran off up the stairs to the parking lot at the top of the hill and I looked at Aiden

“go…you don’t want to lose her ash…” he said then I ran after her, she was getting into her car when I finally caught up to her

“Spencer stop!”

“I cant ever say goodbye to you Ashley! Ok I cant do this!” she said completely in tears 

“Spence I’m not leaving forever”

“shut up Ashley! You know in a month you wont want to come back home and in two months we wont be talking anymore!”

“don’t say that…Spencer I don’t want to start over with you…this isn’t over” I said “…I’m never saying goodbye to you” I added and held my body against hers and capturing my lips in hers
