Chapter Seven: She Can’t Hold Her Booze

It had been two weeks since the encounter between her and Ashley, and Spencer felt pretty confident she wasn’t going to be seeing any more of that particular brunette. She was relieved, because out of sight meant out of mind, and she had enough on her mind to begin with. Once again she found herself in front of her full length mirror, examining her reflection in the glass. Her appearance had admittedly improved, with her skin regaining it’s normal color and her eyes shedding that haunted look.

Spencer filled out the flirty yellow dress she wore rather nicely, although it’s sleeveless nature concerned her. Glancing down at the matching scars on her wrists, a frown creased her brow. Oh well, it would be dark at the club, and no one would be looking at her hands anyways. That’s right, the club. She was going to go out dancing, and there was nothing Glen was going to do about it. She needed a night to go out, get buzzed, and meet some new people. If she spent another second in this damned house with her damned brother she was going to scream.

After two long weeks of contemplating what had happened, she was coming to terms with everything. The past was the past, she couldn’t change that, and Sarah wasn’t coming back. Now she needed to find something or someone to feel that little gap in her heart, and she couldn’t do it quick enough. Applying a touch of make up she finished off her look, running a hand through her recently flat ironed hair. It felt so soft when it was straight like this, and she reveled in the feel of it against her fingertips. Deciding she was looking as good as she was going to look, she exited the room, her feet descending the stairs in rapid succession.

“Woah… Uh… Spencer?” Glen inquired from his spot on the couch, staring at his sibling with a bewildered expression.

“Mmmhm?” She replied as she slipped into a modest pair of black strappy pumps, not looking up as she secured them onto her feet.

“Why are you all dressed up?” He was hesitant as he arched a brow. Despite the fact she was his sister, he was still able to notice she looked nice.

    1. I absolutely love where you are going with this story! Ashley’s last words are going to ring true, Spencer is going to be pissed when she wakes up. This story has risen to the top of the charts for me. PMS
