Lost Love – (Chapter: Is Anything Better Than Your First Love?)
Ch. 1
Spencer’s POV:
I was walking down the street with Aiden, and it was about 3 in the morning and we were both buzzed and freezing. “Where the hell is Chelsea and Clay?” Aiden whined. “They’re supposed to come here with the car!” I shivered in the bitter cold. I was at the point of considering asking Aiden for his jacket if Chelsea and Clay didn’t show up sooner or later. “Damn- I-I- ha-have to piss also.” Aiden stuttered. I rolled my eyes, too tired to actually tell him thanks for sharing. Suddenly a car zoomed by, sending a disgusting wave of nasty muddy water onto Aiden as it passed by. “Hey!” Aiden howled. “Ass!” I laughed loudly at him, seeing my boyfriend hop around looking like a drowned rat. Not to mention he probably smelled like one too. I stopped laughing suddenly when I thought about how the driver looked like…could it be? No, it wasn’t her. It was dark too; and I ‘m drunk- I probably am tricking myself into thinking it was her. After all these years I still can’t stop thinking of her, can I. I shook my head free off all these thoughts. Finally Chelsea and Clay came. “Ew…Aiden!” Chelsea cried, crinkling her nose once she caught a whiff of him. “It’s not my fault!” Aiden protested. “Yeah, well, you need a shower. Now.” Clay said, laughing. Once we got to our dorms, Aiden asked if he could stay the night with me. He goes to Cal State LA, since after all, he’s just a jock. (I’m not saying he’s dumb.. he just doesn’t apply himself.) “Alright.. but we’re getting you in the shower NOW.” I said, giggling. “Shower with me?” he said, grinning. “Uh…NO.” I replied, pushing him in and turning on the water. I closed the bathroom door behind me and walked over to my drawers, puling out a silver necklace. The necklace she had given me a couple years ago. My mother didn’t know I still had it; I kept it to remember her. I had a whole box of everything she ever gave me stashed away here in my dorm; I had saved them by giving them to Chelsea to safe keep so that my mom would never get her hands on it. I sighed, telling myself to stop living in the past. Who knows where she is now? I don’t even know what her phone number is anymore; she changed it. I opened up the windows, leaning forward to look outside down on L.A. Sometimes I wonder if anything ever exceeds your first love.
