Loving Annabelle, Alternate Ending Fan Fiction Contest
"… Michelle Peters". She only caught the end of the sentence pronounced by the adverse attorney as she was up in her head.
Suddenly she saw her graduated student walk towards the bar.
A lot of useless questions followed her swearing on the bible until…
"Did Miss Bradley ever came on to you in a sexual way" asked the attorney with a reassured and proud face as if he was about to score.
"No, I did. Actually, she was kinda nice about it; she just told me that she wasn’t worth obsessing about… I have to admit I was gutted to hear she actually had an affair with another girl".
The attorney looked like he got hit by a train;
"Miss Peters, this is not what you said on our meeting yesterday."
"I know" the young woman replied, "but see, I just swore on a bible, I was in a catholic school you know" she said in a sarcastic tone before winking towards Simone who couldn’t suppress a smile.
"That will be all thank you" said the attorney taken aback.
"Miss Deary, do you have any question for the witness?"
"I do", Replied the mid-forties woman who was Simone’s attorney.
"Miss Peters, why do you say you were "gutted" to hear Miss Bradley had an affair with another girl?"
"Well that’s easy, I had a crush on her for three years and all I got was ‘I’m flattered but you should try to find someone your own age’" then turning to Simone she added "which I did, her name is Vivian and she’s so amazing!".
"So what do you think it was, with Miss Tillman?"
"I’d go with either love or momentary mental blackout… Obviously, Miss Bradley has never been the kind to share feelings, but I never felt like she was happy, I mean, really happy. And oddly, I think that girl must have made her happy, otherwise, she wouldn’t have risked it."
