    Spencer dances

    Adella: “Another?!”

    Spencer: “I know I said that ‘when in Paris, do as the Parisians do,’ but come on Adella, I’m an American and I happen to be a wee bit nervous here!” I suck back another Long Island that I begged Phil, Sara’s uncle, to bring me…yet again…as my legs shake and my heart races.

    Yes, I’m freaking nervous, how could you tell?!!

    If it was just for Ashley, hell I’d still be nervous, but there’s a room FULL of people out there and I’m made up to the nines in skimpy lingerie about to shake my groove thang in a burlesque club, have you ever done that? No, then stop judging me and my third Long Island!

    I haven’t even looked in a mirror yet, I’m too scared to. All I know is that it took Adella ten minutes to do my hair and another fifteen to do my makeup. Ashley has sent me seven worried texts asking where I was. Finally I just lied and told her that I was in the bathroom and that she shouldn’t come in because I had a bad case of diarrhea. Not at all sexy, but I figured at least that would keep her away but she still texted twice more double-checking if I was sure that I didn’t want her there. God, this chick must love me!

    I was on my fourth Long Island and pacing hard when Phil came backstage to ask me about what song I wanted to play for my performance. When he saw me all dolled up though, he stopped dead in his tracks with his mouth and eyes wide and offered me a job.

    I respectfully declined his offer saying that the commute would be somewhat of a bitch, but it did remind me that I should probably get a job seeing as I’m broke. Hmmm, maybe I could get some tips tonight…
    Adella: “You’re about to make your girlfriend very happy, yes?” She said as she eyed me while sitting on the makeup counter puffing on her long cigarette after Phil left.

    I continued my pacing and I turned to answer her but I caught sight of reflection in the mirror in the process and abruptly stopped my movements.

AMAZING!!! i look on this site everyday like every 5 minutes looking to see if your story is updated and when it is, it makes my day! i loved it! and im glad ashley is back :) Note, you did an amazing job explaining the dance moves of spencer. other stories i read have dance moves and other position (lol) that they try to explain like yours (in detail) but its just to confusing and i must say, you did an amazing job explaining it. didnt get confused once :D looking forward to next update and hope its soon ;)

    21. This chapter was purrrrfect! From Spencer’s dance burlesque-style that I’m sure had Ashley thinking “you give me fever” to Clay’s present…and of course…the ending. Can’t wait for the next one, and I’m happy that Spencer had a little bonding time with Mrs. Hatcher.Love this fic.
