I can’t help but giggle quietly as she stirs. This is going to be interesting. Hehehehehehehe. That’s my evil laugh, by the way.
I feel her nuzzle into my neck a little before she yawns and fixes her grip around my waist. I fell asleep holding her, but woke up with her holding me. Not complaining. Hehehehehehehe.
Ashley: “Mmmmmmm.” She moans and sighs contentedly as she places a soft kiss on my neck. “Good morning, Spence.” Cue more evil laughter.
Spencer: “Morning, Ash.” I say in a constrained tone, trying to hold in my laughter. She slips her hand under my t-shirt as slowly starts to stroke my stomach with the palm of her hand.
Ashley: “Mmmm.” She moans again and lays a few more kisses on my neck. “I love waking up to…” She stops abruptly and I feel her body stiffen. This is the moment she realizes that she just woke up holding her ex girlfriend. Can you picture her wide eyes and her sexy mouth hanging open? Yeah, me too. Her hand is frozen on my bare skin, but she hasn’t removed it either. Hehehehehehehe.
Spencer: “The observatory? Saturday mornings? The sound of birds chirping? What, Ash? What do you love waking up to?” Beethoven can hear the smile in my voice.
Ashley: “What…uh, are…you doing…here?” Oh the sound of panic never tasted so good.
Spencer: “Well, Ash. When two people love each other, they agree to let their love grow. And nine months later came the beautiful, bouncing, baby girl who grew up into the woman you currently have your arms tightly around.”
Ashley: “Uh…”
Spencer: “I know, the miracle of birth is fascinating.” I sigh deeply to annoy her before I slip my hand under my own shirt and hold her hand against my stomach. “You know what I’m in the mood for?” Silence. “A big breakfast. Not the cafe’s breakfast, but like, a really, really big breakfast. The works. How about you?” A whole lot of nothing. “Well I’m glad you’re craving one too! Cause as fate would allow it, I just happen to have enough to share!”
Finally, I get to see her expression as I pull myself away from her arms and lean over a little to the six Styrofoam boxes next to me and show her the menu choices. She looks hilarious! I’m serious! I think my greatest regret in life will be that you can’t be on this stage right now seeing how ridiculous she looks; all tousled-haired and wide-eyed.

this was so worth the wait. you completely made my day. i’m so glad spencer got through to ashley. and aww that song, and the wait if you do end up writing a sequel well definetly be worth it. i must say this is one of my favorite stories. it always made me smile when i ‘d see it was updated. i want to tell you, thank you for posting this story and taking so much of your time creating it and updatng it. considering how long alot of the updates were.it’s plain to see you worked hard on it and didn’t take short cuts to get the story you wanted to come across the way you wanted it to be. by far a great story. i loved the end with a happy spashley ending and oh the last part with emily showing liz and tracie around and her mumbling ” Great. just what marshall daniels needs. more lesbians.” made me laugh. lol.i’m with drunkb4dark. i hope you do write a sequel but if you don’t this story is great as it is. one story i well want to reread again and again for sure.It was a story so addicting that it didn’t matter how long it took to actually finish reading one of your long updates even if it meant being late to something.lol. wow. what an emotional roller coaster! im kinda speechless… and all because of what you have done with 26 little letters. it doesnt seem enough to say- but i hope that when i say “thank you,” you know that it is with the utmost sense of gratitude. ive been faithfully engrossed in this story for the entire 8 months of its unfolding, and there were times in my life in that period that were trying, and looking forward to updates and/or just being inspired by the story itself injected me with joy and inspiration. that, to me, is the most powerful and influential impact a writer can make. i think its fair to say you have quite the loyal following and are kind of a big deal here in the spashley-verse. i wish you the same success in all creative endeavors beyond this. ive said it before and i still mean it- STIX, YOU ROCK! :D

The most amazing story I’ve ever read, like seriously if it was a published book this would be my second favorite (acause Liz will always be my favorite hehe) anyways. i love this last chapter. the part bout jess knowing they were in the whole wen they made love was hilarious and the ending was hella sweet. i love tht the same thing that happend to spencer wen she first came happend to the two newbies except now spence is part of the foxy for of 411 i thnk it was . but whatever love it and love you for making this last chapter amazing and long. I hope u make a sequel and update KHK real soon. great job hun. 5 stars!!!

well this has got to be one of the most epic, loved and followed stories on this site! and it no wonder why! this was seriously one of my favourite spashley stories ive ever read. the characters, plot, EVERYTHING! were so amazing and so much fun to read. this story had it all (and I really DO mean all – there was very little this story didn’t include!) I loved the last chapter, even though I’m sad it’s over, I’m not at all disappointed with how it ended. Stix, you are an amazingly talented writer and entertainer and I really hope you continue to share that talent with us. Thank you so very much for this story. I know for certain that it won’t be forgotten any time soon.

This was absoulutely amazing! This is my favorite fanfiction story to date. It’s just so intricate and so real. I loved every second of every page of this story and I really do hope to see a sequal in the future! You are just so talented as a writer and I will defintely read anything you write. So worth the way and a very cute way to end such a great story.
JUST finally finished reading it, and of course i’m so sad now because their story is over for now but i reallllllly hope that after you work on your other works you’ll miss these versions and give us a sequel!! i don’t have to read all your reviews to know that they are well deserved and right on point. the depths that you took both characters, hell all 6 characters is enough to make me feel like they were my own best friends. it makes me sad when i know they aren’t. you know i love drama and mystery and i love that we didn’t immediately find out what was up with ashley, and we were just as confused as spencer. and i’m glad that spencer found out by overhearing a private conversation. ashley’s unwillingness to talk and pained expressions killed me, and the principal office scene was so LOL worthy, as was the bar hop, until page 31 when i had to take a short recess from reading seeing as i was at work!! i’m really happy that everything came full circle, even the little things, like how Ashley was retarded and self indulgent (that whole thing) and then she went thru every point, that was so good. and of course it ended how it began, I LOVED THAT! THEY LOVEEEEE EACH OTHERR!!! ohh and THE SONG!!!! i was making up my own tune that matched the lyrics, it was funny and sweet and true and totally a song that spencer would sing if she was singing a song, it was like her drunk rambling which is always a plus. this story is amazing in every way and you absolutely did them justice with this last EPIC chapter, the story in general is EPIC. probably the most well recieved story i’ve seen written about south of nowhere. Hands down. your readers worship you, which i’m not sure is a good thing or bad thing sometimes. you didn’t dissapoint, and i know that once in a while some of the chapters gave you trouble to write, but like i said then, they were amazing, perfect amount of drama, laughs, tears, drunkeness, everything surrounded the two girls, everyone made it their business to see them back together and it was awesome. i wouldn’t change any part of the story, except maybe well SAM coming back…KIDDING! but can i just tell you that when Ashley had katarina bring that note to make her in the observatory, i really thught that ashley would be making out with another girl so that spencer would walk in and it would be easier for ashley to leave her if spencer was mad. so glad that didn’t happen but a part of me was hoping. what can i say i’m effed up. janitor amie so conniving in her ways, she made me so proud. and the end when spencer was running through the school, such a classic movie scene. LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!!!!!! i hope you’ll continue them forever and ever because i will read your work forever and ever. well done. i can’t say it any other way. well done. :-)
I am so sad this story is over. It was one of the best i have ever read. It made me laugh, it made me cry, it mad me mad, it made me sad, but through it all i loved this story because it was amazing. Excellent character development and amazing storyline. like i feel like i know these girls and i want to be friends with each and everyone of them. I admit i didn’t first read this story when it first came out, i eventually clicked on it to see what all the fuss was about and i was not disapointed. this story took us on twist and turns and had us holding onto the edge of our seats impatient to see what was going to happen next. i swear i have been walking around singing Spencer’s song. It was great. I really am going to miss this story, i’m glad that Spencer got her girl back. I really hope you do write a sequel to this. congrats on writing one of the best Spashley fics. I wish you success with future stories you may write.

ok so like 8 months later or so and I finally read this. at first I didn’t want to simply because it was so long, but I think it was actually because I didn’t want to have to say good bye to this story. I think you’ve made me feel every human emotion possible with this one, and I thank you so much for that dear Stix! you are so amazingly talented at your work and I’m so very glad you decided to share it with all of us. I do hope that there is one day a sequel, even if it’s not as epic in length as this. in the mean time I will continue to enjoy all of your work, and have no fear, MD will always hold a special place in my heart!!

I just finished reading this story today. I watched SON about 2 years ago and I just started watching again today…I decided to check on some fanfic and your stories were the first I read… I love all of them! I love this the most! no! I love ALL of them and I hope you’ll get to read this still to know how amazing it was to have read your stories…i’m rambling but I’m just soooo glad for the experience! I love all your characters in this story!
I’ve been dreading the end of this story but what a journey it has been! It was a pleasure and a privilege to have been along for the ride. I appreciate all the thought and effort you put into this. This is hands down my favorite fic! What I love about you as a writer is how you build layers upon layers of imagery. You engaged our senses and emotions and we felt so immersed in your story. You made us laugh, cry, squeal, swear, cringe, salivate, wonder, blush, moan, yell, giggle, gush but most of all, remember … that life is all about love and friendships. I love all your original characters (Gage!). They are so memorable and engaging and you have weaved them so expertly into the fabric of your story. I’ve loved all 751 pages, all 332,102 words. This chapter was no exception, I love the full circleness of it all. How you brought everything back (sixly!) and tied it all together. I shed a tear (or two) when Spencer said “You can keep me.” The scene in chapter 14 where Ashley said “Can I love you? Can I keep you forever? I’ll let you keep me.” was one of my favorites. So simple and yet so poignant. It showed her inner yearning to belong to someone and be loved. Oh Stix, I’m hooked on YOUR phonics! Thank you again for the gift that is Marshall Daniel’s. I will never forget it and it will always hold a piece of my heart. Good luck on all your future endeavors. May you achieve all your dreams except for one – so that you will always have something to strive for. p.s. I understand that you have to take a break before doing a possible sequel. What to say first. Damn. I absolutely loved how things from the beginning kind of popped up, spencer rejecting her, the concussion and so on. Just a great way to bring them back to their love. The song part made me cry, but I had cried even on some parts that weren’t really cry worthy, think I was just over thinking the story, already antipating stuff. I understand Ashley’s need to break it off so spencer didn’t become like her mother and she like her father. i was glad when spencer yelled at her for giving up on the company, like we went through all that for nothing haha. that part was funny when they were arguing about going or staying, and spencer was like yeah well watch me and ran off. i can’t even pin point a favorite part in this chapter. Although I think it is funny that spencer ran from the roof of the school all the way to the soccor field, totally missing ashley who had already headed into the school before spencer started down. Excellent story. Hate to see it end but glad they way it did. I really hope you end up doing a sequel cuz this is my all time favorite story. your a great writer. keep it up with future stories and hopefully the sequel :)

I can not believe it’s over! This story was one of the best I have read on this site. I loved it so much and would check back everyday just hoping you would post and when u did, it made my day. I went through a dark time in my life a while ago and one other story, and MD just kept me going. Kept me believing. The characters are amazing, the writting is brilliant and I just loved it. I’m so thankful that u decided to post this story, and never doubt again cuz ur writin is amazing. I hope there is a sequel and I’ll be waitin for one :) but if not it’s ok. Again thanks for this story and I hope u write more in the future.

that was so completely worth the wait . no joke that was amazing ! i was so excited to see when you posted and ive been reading for about like 3 hours and i just finished … i took breaks of course lol . any way if you do a squeal to MD i would be so stoked … i mean your story is absolutely with out a doubt the most incredible thing written … at least that is my opinion … you are an amazing and talented writer and I’ve enjoyed the up and down roller coaster that MD provided . this story was an escape for me . it made me happy so thank you very much for that ! oh and by the way I LOVED THE SONG !! =D
Ok seriously stix…hmmm i dont even know where to began haha i guess ill start by saying that you have an incredible talent for writing =] I think there are few stories that i have read and actually connected with enough to feel the pain, the sadness, the happines, and they joy, the anger and the hopelessness that each one of these characters endured in the story. I mean really This is one of those epic love stories you hear rumors about and you made it seem so realistic…like ugh i cant even describe how u writing this story makes me feel haha but yes i enjoyed it to the fullest with every word syllable, consanat, vow, with everything =] haha with every page i kept saying to me self 30 more pages til the end…15 more pages till the end…5…2…the end…fucking shit man hahaha but to say i loved this story would be an understatement and wouldnt do the incredibility of it justice hahaha my favorite lines were…well every line but the one that just melted my heart to gooey sappy love mush was i am me for only you…I am me because of you… That your love makes everything else dull in comparison and the world slips away…because you are the only world I want to see…gosh those words will be forever branded in my memory haha one things for sure you can write a story with the best of them and this is a clear example hehe I loved the angst, the anger, the happiness, the sorrow all of the elements…it wasnt a story that had one complexity then a happy ending haha it was a story with many complexities and stalemates dead ends and hoplessness but then finally a happy ending…all in all it was realistic (i emphasize on that yet again Ha!) =] anays haha im creating a story of my own with this comment but i digress haha It made me laugh, it made me cry, it made my heart swell with the ache they felt, it made me feel the joy they eventually found and i am truly sad to know that this is the end…of this era i swear if u come back with a sequel ill be a avid reader haha but yes the last chapter was fanfuckingtstic( of course we all know and knew it was gonna be)and i savored and cherished every word that i read…like a dog savors a drop of ice cream hahaha (bad analogy I know! haha)so i guess what i mean out of all this mumbo jumbo is you did and excellent job =] ( i feel like spencer with all that rambling…but of course it was only said in the purest of truths) haha =]

Wow. That was an amazing upon amazing way to end the story. It took awhile for me to actually finish that one but it was great. I did not actually think that Spence would sing on the roof top but she did and it was just wow. To be honest I was a little scared she would fall because she is not the most graceful person in the world. Haha but she didnt which is for the best and then her and ash just being together again. I wish life was really like stories. So go team spashley, kelly + Sara, Gage + Jess. And espically you stix. Stay awesome. Just like your stories.
Reread the whole story! Took me forever to find! lol I got your username on here. So I end up having to try to remember the title. Which I only got the Marshall part right. Google works wonders! XD Well I LOVE this story! I love all the Characters you put in the story. They all seem to make the perfect story. I am on the other hand kinda sad I didn’t get to see a POV for the other Characters. I would have really love to know what goes on in their heads. That an I just love Sara, Kelly, Jess, and Gage! I’m wondering how everyone turn out after they left this school. This story has the perfect story line, with the perfect characters and the right amount of drama and sense of humor. I love this story and will read it again and again! =)
