My Drug – (Chapter: A Modern Myth)

But the real trouble wouldn’t start until the boys came around and that was just the beginning…

His name was Kelvin Hammes. To put it plain and simple, he was a complete and utter tool. He was a jock with an oversized ego. I don’t even like guys, but if I did, I sure as hell wouldn’t go for him. I mean come on, he had cheater written all over him. But of course, while I tried not to vomit, I watched her fall for him.

“Hey Spence,” I greeted her making my way through the crowd to reach her.

“What’s up?” The people around me were scrambling to get to class. Every new kid always freaks out when they get to high school. Why do they feel like they have to run to all of their classes?

“Not much, so I uh, I uh…” fuck words never come together when I’m talking to her. The Davies charms goes to hell. She chuckled at my attempt. Well at least she thinks it’s cute right?

“You really need to learn to say what you’re thinking Ash,” she replied. But what if I don’t know what I’m thinking?

“I’ll work on that,” I assured her.

“So then what were you trying to say anyways?”

“I was just uh,” ok this is getting ridiculous. “What are you up to this weekend?” See that wasn’t so hard, unless she rejects me. Oh god she’s going to reject me.

“I’m hanging out with Kelvin Friday want to come?” No.

“Sure,” did I honestly just agree to watch Kelvin feel her up all night? Just shoot me now. It’s like saying yeah I’ll be miserable. Sounds good. I was going to try and take it back, until I saw the way her face light up.

“Ok, cool. Afterwards do you want to crash at my house?” Is that an actual question?

“Yeah,” I replied trying not to sound too eager.

“Well I got to get to class. I’ll see you later. Just like that I watched her as she disappeared into the doorway, so by now the only thing I was left with were my pounding thoughts. How could I let myself agree to something like this? Ok so I know exactly why. I’ll bend over backwards for her, do anything to make her happy. It didn’t take a genius to figure that out, but I still didn’t know why. I mean we were just friends right? So why am I so jealous?

    1. aw ash needs to tell spence so she’s not always the third wheel and things maybe not come out and say i love you but just come up with something so she doesn’t have to hang with him pms

    2. I feel bad for Ashley especially since she was a third wheel on Spencer’s date. Being the third wheel is never fun. Hopefully Spencer will see that Ashley’s in love with her. PMASAP.
