She’s right, how could I be so stupid. These people aren’t here for her. Now I feel horrible. I set this up thinking it would be great, and she’d love it, but this isn’t what she wants.  I shook my head and started to walk towards the stairs.

     "Hey Ash, what’s wrong? I saw Spencer run upstairs, is she okay?" Brittany asked me.

     "No… She doesn’t want this, I’m stupid to think she would want a party when she barely likes them." I said then continued to walk upstairs.

     I got to my room and opened the door to see Spencer sitting on my bed. She looked to see who was comin in but when she saw it was me she looked away. I closed the dorr behind me and sat down on the bed next to her.

     "Spence…" I said, but still her eyes where anywhere but at me.

     "Baby, please look at me." I pleaded. She turned her head slowly and met my eyes. She looked hurt, and I knew she was.

     "Spencer, I’m sorry, I should have thought twice about this whole thing… I know this isn’t what you would have wanted but at the time it sounded like a good idea, but now I see this isn’t you, you don’t like these kinds of things, I should have known that…" I said while keeping her gaze. She sighed.

     "Ash-" She started to say but someone knocked on the door.

     "Go away!" I said.

     "Ash, it’s us." I heard Kyla say.

     "Fine, come in." I said and she walked through the door along with Aiden and Brittany. The music was no longer playing and it sounded like people where leaving. They walked in front of us and Aiden spoke up.

     "Look, Spencer, the whole surprise party thing was m-"

     "Our idea.. And we’re sorry." Brittany jumped in.

     "Yeah, we just thought it would be cool to have one more party with you before you had to leave…" Kyla started to say.

     "But when we saw you go upstairs we knew that we were pretty much just throwing a party for ourselfs, and that’s not cool…" Aiden said.

     "We really like you Spencer, and we’re all glad we met you and became friends this summer, so sorry." Brittany finished.

     I looked at each of them and smiled, I’m so glad I have such caring friends. I looked over at Spencer and she was smiling as well.

     "Thank you guys for apologizing, and its not that I don’t like partys, its just I want my last day here with you guys to be something we can all remember, I want to a big party where no one knows who I am… I just want all of us to hang out, and have fun, like we always do. I wanna leave L.A. with some of the best memories of my life." She said looking at everyone, even me.

     "You got it Spencer." Aiden said as he gave her a hug.

     "Yeah and we are really sorry Spence, whatever you wanna do before you leave, we’ll do it." Kyla said as she gave her a hug.

     "You’re a great girl Spencer and I’m glad we became friends this summer, I’m sorry." Brittany said after giving her a hug. Spencer said thanks to everyone again and they all left the room. She looked over at me and smiled.

     "I love you Spence, I really should have thought twice… I knew better then that." I said.

     "Hey, I love you too, and really Ash its okay, I just want my last day to be special." She said putting her hand on top of mine.

     "And mainly with you." She said looking into my eyes. I smiled big and leaned in giving her a kiss on the lips.
