    Ashton, Alexis and A.J – 14 years old

    Hey guys. Mom here. The last 8 months have been horrible but at the same time good. I finally managed to get my act together. Alex is finally in remission and your Mama let me back into the house a month ago….YAY!!!  It wasn’t easy and you guys were the ones that helped it all happen. I can’t believe how lucky I am to have you guys in my life. It’s truly a testament that someone up there really loves me.

    Everything really started to change about 5 months ago. Alex had just gotten out of the hospital in time to start school and she was finally in remission. From what A.J. told me this how everything got started. Sorry baby boy, I know I promised not to say that you told me but I just had to write all of this down.

    It was your first day of high school. I knew A.J. and Ashton where excited while Alex was very nervous. It had to do with her appearance. She was still really thin and her hair was barely starting to grow back. So she was afraid kids where going to make fun of her. We all tried to reassure her everything was going to be fine but she was still feeling uneasy. It also didn’t help that I was still screwing up. I still hadn’t stopped using and to make it worse I started drinking heavily again. I just couldn’t stop. I missed you guys horribly but I felt I was dying without your Mama. I thought that once Alex went into remission I’d automatically stop but it didn’t work that way.

    So back to your first day of high school. According to A.J. everything was going fine that first day until you guys had finished your lunch and started walking to your next class. Alex bumped into a girl named Liz making her drop her books, she was supposedly a member of the high school royalty there. She wasn’t alone, unfortunately. Her boyfriend was with her. I think his name was Joey.

    Alex immediately bent down to pick up her own books and help the other girl and said, “I’m really sorry”

    9. Yep, I agree with SoNfan03, the kids are awesome and the way Alexis acts reminds me of Spence. I love this story, and the song, it was great. Let me just say this entire story is awesome because I’d go on forever pointing out everything I loved in this post, LOL. Great update, PMRN!!!!!!!
