    Visits from London, and KAMANDA!

     

    Spencer took the schedule her mother picked up for her and read it. “I have homeroom with Sister Mary Softcreck?”  Spencer said quizzically trying to pronounce the name correctly.

     

    The girl grabbed the paper from Spencer. “Congratulations, love, you have almost all classes with me.”

     

    “Really?” Spencer asked.

     

    “Yeah, all except British lit.” The girl winked and then dragged Spencer along by her arm all the way to homeroom.

     

    It wasn’t what Spencer would consider a clean cut friend, but it was a start. She figured her mother would believe anything she said about a girl she met at a catholic school. The score was now Paula: 5 and Spashley: 2. they were well on their way.

     

    For the past couple of weeks, Amanda felt guilty about what she did with Aiden behind Kelly’s back. Most of all, she still felt hurt and uneasy when it came to talking about it. She hadn’t spoken to Kelly or Aiden since that night and she figured it was about time that she did.  She picked up her phone trying to decide who to cal, Kelly or Aiden. She flipped through her contact list at least five times before deciding and she hit the call button and stuck it to her ear.

     

    “Hello?” The voice on the other end said. Soft and smooth, just like the person it belonged to.

     

    “Hey, Kelly, we need to talk. It’s about Aid-”

     

    “I know.” Kelly said barging in.

     

    “You know?” Amanda asked.

     

    “I know.” Kelly repeated. “Aiden told me. He said that it was best for me to know or whatever.”

     

    Amanda was shocked at the least. Aiden admitted to Kelly at the risk of them loosing their relationship. She was definitely going to be calling him next. “Why didn’t you call?” Amanda asked.

     

    “I figured you would tell me when you were ready to. I’m not one to rush. Besides, everyone needs their cool down period, I needed a little while.” Kelly said. Amanda was shocked that Kelly wasn’t mad or yelling or chewing her head off.

     

    “You’re not mad?” Amanda asked curiously.

     

    “Not really. You made a mistake just like I did a while ago. Listen, everyone makes mistakes. I just hope this is your last.” Kelly said simply.

     

    “Trust me, it is.” Amanda heard the front door open and close as Ashley walked through the house singing ‘I Believe in a Thing Called Love’ by The Darkness. “I have to go. I’ll call you later okay?”

     

    “Alright, bye.” Kelly said and hung up. Amanda walked into the living room to hear Ashley’s lovely interpretation of the song.

     

    “I take it things went well.” Amanda said raising her brows.

     

    “As well as they could have.” Ashley said happily.

     

    “That’s great, Ash.” Amanda said as she sat down on the couch and grabbed for the remote.

     

    “I’m going to go be her Bruce Willis and fill up her inbox.”  Ashley said as she hoped up the stairs singing some more.
