    "Spence, how do you deal with change?" he asked looking his sister square in the eye. "I mean, you changed alot since we moved to LA and you seemed to be fine at it. Just, how do you deal with it?"

    "Well, ill tell you one thing." spencer began light-mooded. "It wasnt easy dealing with being gay. I mean, i wanted to deny it. Then i wanted to hide it. But one day i just excepted it." Spencer removed her hand from his shoulder and placed it into her lap joining the other. "But see, i realized that things, feelings and people change. It isnt an overnight type of thing, but it still happens and its something that we as people have to accept." Clay nodded his head. He understood perfectly, but it didnt solve his delima. "So whats going on? whats changing?" spencer asked knowing the question didnt come from nowhere. She knew clay better than that.

    Clay sat silent for a moment. "My birthmother is," he paused and sucked in the cool night air. Polluted LA air had become their source of oxygen. A step down in many cases. He continued, "She’s moving here, to LA and she wants me to come live with her."

    Spencer was shocked. The thought of her brother being part of a different family. It was alot to take in so quickly, so she faught back her feelings long enough to give the sisterly conversation he wanted. "Well, do you want to live with her?"

    "Part of me wants to. But the other part of me is saying that I already have a family. No, it isnt the picture of perfection, but its all i’ve known since i was eight and i couldnt imagine loosing this." Clay sighed. "But i mean, she is still my birthmother and i really enjoy the time we spend together. It’s like she is a peice of me that i’ve never known about. But still i couldnt imagine no longer being a carlin."

    All of the time that clay spent trying to be the perfect son so they wouldnt put him back in foster care, and he was the one who could quite possibly be leaving. This only made a bit of sense. He had been the perfect brother to her for years ad years. Since she was only seven years old.

    1. Poor Clay…I’ve been through that, and it’s rough. Hopefully he’ll realize that his true family is the one he’s with.And being in the same house while Spencer and Ashley are going at it…I don’t think a pillow would cut it. I’d have to leave the house to keep myself from trying to join in!
