“When have I ever said no to that?” She questioned with a seductive smile.

“I hope you’ll never say no…” Tala replied and, with a moan, reclaimed Kennedy’s lips with her own. ‘I love these workouts…’ Tala thought as she stood and carried Kennedy to a floor mat and gently laid her down. Before she started to remove her lover’s clothing, Tala looked into her face. “Thank you…,” she whispered.

“For what?” Kennedy whispered back.

“For loving me enough to do this…”

Kennedy smiled as she looked up at Tala. “I thought you knew… I love you enough to do ANYTHING for you Tala…anything…” she trailed off as Tala began to kiss her again passionately. Both women gave up on words as they let their bodies and hands find familiar places.

“Do you have everything?” Buffy questioned.

Looking around at the bags at their feet, Tala and Kennedy nodded their heads. “Yep…and what we don’t have, we’ll pick up. Besides… I don’t normally travel with so much crap. I guess things change…”

“I remember,” Faith said. “That first night… all you had was a rucksack.” The woman stopped and looked at her friends. “We’re gonna miss you guys around here.”

Kennedy grabbed Faith and hugged her hard. “We’re not leaving forever…we’ll be back. And hey… you can even come visit us. I’m not sure where we’ll be, but that’s what phones are for…right?” Kennedy questioned with a laugh.

“Right.” Faith laughed back. Tala and Kennedy then hugged each of the people that had come to see them off. All of the Scoobies were present and Dawn and Willow were both shedding tears.

“You guys better take care of this place,” Tala joked so she wouldn’t join them.

“Oh we will!” Buffy responded for everyone. “You two take care of each other… and call when you get there… or get anywhere. Make sure we know where you are at all times… OK?”

“Yes ma’am!” Tala replied with a salute. A horn sounded from the front of the house. “I guess it’s time then. I love you guys and take care of each other.”

A chorus of ‘we will’, ‘we love you too’, and ‘goodbye’ followed her request. “You ready?” Tala questioned Kennedy as she took her hand with one hand and grabbed a bag with the other.

“As I’ll ever be,” Kennedy replied with a smile and a quick kiss as she grabbed a bag of her own. Faith and Buffy picked up the remaining suitcases and followed the two women to the taxi in silence. After placing the bags in the trunk, they hugged each other again. The two original slayers stepped back with tearful eyes as Tala and Kennedy slipped into the rear seat of the taxi. As the car pulled away, Kennedy rolled down the window. “Bye everyone…we’ll call!” she yelled as she waved frantically. When the cab was out of sight, Buffy and Faith started towards the house. Faith looked up at the sky.

“Looks like a storm is coming… better tell the girls training will be inside today.”

“Yeah… fun stuff… a bunch of yelling teenagers in one room,” Buffy responded.

“It’s not like it hasn’t been that way before,” said Faith as they entered the house and shut the door behind them. A few hours later, Buffy’s premonition came true.
