Nowheresville – (Chapter: Chapter 29: Sands of Time Part 3)

"What’s his name? How old is he?" I ask.

"He’s 10 weeks old. He doesn’t have a name yet."

     "What do you mean ‘yet’?"

yle=”font-size: 10px”>"I mean you have to give him one. He came in Saturday. He’s a late birthday present."

"Oh Spencer!" I exclaim wrapping her in a hug slamming us into the wall. The puppy barks and jumps against his cage door.

"You’re welcome. I saw him and my first thought was ‘Ashley would love you!’" I let her go and we take the puppy out. He jumps all over us pawing at our thighs.

"Spencer he’s perfect! We should adopt him together that way he’ll be like our son. What do you say Spence? Do you want to be a mother with me and raise this pup?" She looks at me and then at the puppy smiling.

"Yes Ashley, I will. So, what are we gonna name him?"

"I don’t know. Nothing cliche or overrated though."

    "Tolouse?"

"The kitten from Aristocats? No way! He’s not gonna be a spoiled, stuffy show dog." when I say this he puts his paw over his eyes and makes a noise like "oy vey". I didn’t know dogs could be Jewish.

"What about Buck?’ I ask more to him than Spencer. He makes this low throaty howl and turns his back to us. I look at Spencer.

    "Are you seeing this too?"

    "I think so. What about…"

"Harley!" we say together. He turns around wagging his tail and nods then winks. Spence and I share another look.

"Ok then. Harley it is." I say scooping him up into my arms. He’s pretty squiggly; I guess around 15 pounds. We go to the lobby and get him a light gray harness, leash and collar. We go to the front desk and pick up the adoption papers. Spencer holds Harley while I fill in the boxes. [Name: Harley Oliver Davies-Carlin]

    "Oliver?" Spence asks.

"Yea, it just seemed to fit. Why, don’t you like it?"

"Yea, I was just abou to say make his middle name Oliver." I finish the boxes and we go back to the desk. Dale comes out and takes the papers. He looks at Spencer and I.

    1. oh yea i just made it go from a four to a five!!!!!….. I’ve missed this story sooooo much its one of my favorites….. It sucks that asley repressed her magical powers and that Spencer toned down hers… I love harley already. I think thats every mothers fear sometimes…. Ashley should know she’d be different since she is different she just needs to learn how to accept herself first….. :D PMS Please!

    2. the puppy sounds adorable but i wish ashley would have let spencer keep the spell on him that was cool how he could sort of tell ashley what he needes and stuff and i can see why ash doesn’t want kids
