“Let me see your schedule.” Ashley asked while she took out hers from the inside of her folder. Spencer reached in her Jansport backpack and handed Ashley, her schedule.  Ashley placed them next to each other and examined them. After a few moments, Ashley leaned back handing back my schedule. “We only have English and P.E. together.”

Spencer shrugged her shoulders. At least she had a friend, sorta.

“So, did you leave a boy back home?”

“Not really.” Spencer said. “I’m not really like that.”

“So what, your like gay or something.”

Spencer didn’t want to be known as the gay girl either. She shook her head fast.

“No, I mean that I’m not really looking for a boyfriend now.”

“Oh, whatever.” Ashley took out a tube of lip gloss from her pocket and applied a thin coat on her lips. Her soft, light pink lips…

“Hey, Baby.” A boy smiled leaning down to Ashley and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

“Hey, Craig.”

Spencer looked at them disgusted. Straight love, ew.

“This my boyfriend, Craig.” Ashley smiled.

“Hello, Spencer.” He said putting out his hand. She shook it and looked away.

“Mr. Ayelly, please go back to your seat.” Ms. Lacey said and began to talk about a book we were supposed to be reading.

“Spencer, over here!” Ashley called out waving her hand towards a small group. Spencer smiled at her and walked over saying hello to everyone who was there. “There’s Steven and Jessica, you know them from English, their best friends. ” Ashley nodded her head over to the jocks who were throwing food at each other.

Jessica looked over hearing her name and she moved her head, hey. Spencer turned back to Ashley focusing on her. “…And you know my boyfriend, Craig.” Ashley pointed to the guy next to her who had her arm around her. How could I forget about, Craig. Handsome little, Craig, blek.

“So what do you think about Ms. Lacey?” Ashley asked while making herself comfortable under Craig’s arm.

“She’s all right.”

“Honestly, I don’t give a shit about her.” Craig bugged in.

“Baby, don’t use that word.” Ashley hit him in the chest lightly. Craig shrugged his shoulders and ate a couple fries from his lunch. Spencer sat down on the bench next to the couple making sure she was a good distance away from them. Ashley looked over at her and smiled shaking her head. “Why are you so far? You could come closer, I don’t bite.” Spencer blushed making her face a light shade of pink and scooted over to her beautiful friend.

Spencer sat on the curve placing her books on her lap as she wait for Mother Dearest to pick her up. She sat there opening her book to where her bookmark was placed and began to read.

Before she could finish her chapter someone sat next to her. She looked over hoping it was Ashley, but there sat Jessica.

“What’s up.”

“Nothing.”

Jessica leaned over taking the book. She looked at the back and nodded.

“You gay?” Spencer looked at her frightened. Should I tell her? She was kinda nice.

“If you are, I’m fine with it.” Jessica said kindly. Spencer looked at her and smiled.

“Kinda?.”

“Kinda? Kinda my fucking ass, you are so into Ashley.”

Shit. “How’d you see that?”

“Cause I have eyes? Anways she is hot, for sure. You look at her light she’s the Empress of the World.” Jessica laughed and shook Spencer’s book which was in her hand. Spencer laughed not believing she was so cool with it, “Yeah, she’s hot.”
