    Waking up to reality.

     

    “I’m still drawing a blank.”

     

    “Does the show American Idol give you a hint?”

     

    “Please tell me that it’s not Carrie Underwood. Nothing against her but I’m not a country girl.”

     

    “No it’s not Carrie Underwood. This girl’s a lot more rock.”

     

    “Kelly Clarkson?” I stood there with a half sneer. Not that I didn’t like her but she just didn’t seem like the type to do my music justice.

     

    “Yes. She called earlier today. She wants to go into the studio as soon as possible. I told her that right now you were in L.A. so she’s coming to you. You’ll be recording there.”

     

    “So this requires me to stay longer than expected doesn’t it?”

     

    “Yeah, is that okay? I didn’t figure that you’d have any plans back here.”

     

    This meant that I would be spending even more time with Spencer. I just didn’t think that I could handle that, “No, it’s fine. I jus wanted to make sure. I’ll see you whenever I get back. Next time have Miss Clarkson give me call so that she can give me all the details about where she wants to record.”

     

    “No problem Ash. Have fun in L.A.”

     

    “I’ll try. Bye, Mark.” I hung up the phone. I couldn’t believe what he had just told me. The first ever American Idol wanted to record one of my songs. I think that if she knew who they were actually about she wouldn’t want to cover them. I needed to tell someone about this.

     

    I walked back into the house. Spencer was sitting on the couch holding Gabriel. I had to admit it, she would make a great mother. She was talking to him in an infamous “baby-speak” voice. It was too cute. She looked up when I came closer. She gave me a smile as if she knew what I was thinking about. I just smiled, “I just got great news.”

     

    “Really? What’s up?”

     

    I took a seat beside her and Gabe, “My studio just called. Turns out an artist wants to record some of my material so I’m going to be staying out here longer than I expected.”

     

    Spencer’s smile slightly faded, “That’s…that’s…”

    9. Oh my God. this is such a beautiful chapter. Its so sweet and sad. I want them to have a child together. Spencer needs to leave her girlfriend now. I wonder about their on and off relationship, though. Did Spencer cheat or have she always kept her distance with current gf. Is her gf a bitch? Please make her a bitch so it’ll be eas hate her. Poor Ash has t see them as a couple at memorial. I hope spencer isn’t all over her. Does Spencer gf know about Ash? PMS
