Stephanie looked at her father with a confused look but she nodded and wiped a few tears away as they fell down his cheeks. “I’ll miss you too daddy…I love you…”

Ashley and Spencer both had tears in their eyes as they watched Aiden say goodbye to his daughter. Ashley reached out her hand to Spencer and Spencer held onto it tightly.

Aiden stood and smiled down at his daughter. He cleared his throat and looked up at the two women. “Thank you…please take good care of her.”

Ashley let go of Spencer’s hand and pulled Aiden into a hug. He hugged her back and looked up at Spencer. He motioned for her to come over and they all hugged each other tightly.

“Well I better get going…” Aiden said pulling back. Ashley and Spencer reached for each other’s hand again and stood behind Stephanie.

They followed Aiden outside and watched from the doorway as he made his way back to his car. He looked back once more before sitting inside and starting up his engine. He waved back at the girls and they waved as he drove off.

Stephanie stood there waving for a few minutes after Aiden’s car had disappeared. Ashley knelt down beside her and kissed her softly on the cheek.

“Stephanie sweetie…would you like Aunt Ashley to make you some chocolate milk?” Ashley asked the young girl softly.

Stephanie stopped waving and turned to Ashley and nodded. They walked back into the house and they made some chocolate milk for everyone. Ashley, Spencer, and Stephanie sat on the couch and Ashley turned on the T.V.

“So Stephanie…what kind of shows do you like to watch? Cartoons?”

Stephanie nodded and Ashley changed the channel to Spongebob Squarepants. Ashley smiled at Spencer and Spencer rolled her eyes.

“Who…lives in a pineapple under the sea…” Ashley began to sing.

“SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!” Spencer and Stephanie cried out together.

The girls began to laugh as they watched the cartoon starring the yellow sponge and his undersea friends. Ashley knew that this was something that she had always wanted to have in her life. She looked over at her beautiful fiancée and then at her new addition to their family and smiled widely.
