    “What about his family? Are they taking care of his daughter?”

     

    “Both Madison and Aiden’s families wrote them off after they went off and got married. So he has no one now….except me.”

     

    “I thought you said that you and Aiden stopped talking after all the drama he put you and your sister through during high school?” Spencer asked Ashley softly.

     

    “We did…but before all of that he was my best friend. I don’t know Spence I have all these feelings right now….hate, anger, sadness, hope, and this longing to forgive. That’s not all Aiden wanted me to know.” Ashley said tracing circles on the top of Spencer’s hand.

     

    “What else is there?”

     

    “He wants to ask me if I would take care of his daughter while he gets clean.” Ashley continued to stare at Spencer’s hand refusing to see her fiancée’s reaction.

     

    Spencer sunk further into the pillows blown away by the news. She looked at Ashley who was clearly in a state of limbo and tipped the brunette’s chin up. “So what are you going to do?” She asked softly.

     

    “I…I don’t know…I mean if I say yes I will be helping a friend in need…if I say no I am turning away a defenseless child for a stupid grudge…”

     

    “Well I think you just said what you are going to do…” Spencer said softly.

     

    “I did?”

     

    “Yes Ash…I think you should help Aiden out…if not for him but for you too…maybe you two can get some closure finally.”

     

    “You don’t have a problem with adding a child to our lives?”

     

    “I love kids and you would be a perfect mother. But you get to be the strict parent because I am too lovable for that.” Spencer said with a smile.

     

    “Hey why do I have to be the bad guy?” Ashley said pouting.

     

    “Because you’re sexy when you’re mad.”

     

    “I’m sexy all the time.” Ashley said with a grin.

     

    “That you are.” Spencer leaned forward and gave Ashley a soft kiss. “So have you talked to Aiden yet?”

     

    “No…I told Kyla to let him know that he can stop by my office today. Spence?”

    1. Alright, your fanfics are like some sort of addicting drug. Unfair, very very unfair… I should be training or working but noooo, I’m here reading your stories haha Good job, keep ’em up! You’re an amazing writer with a great imagination.

    2. So what can I say…another great update. I don’t comment all the time, but believe me I’m following along through your journey. I hope that Aiden doesn’t try to use his daughter to get back into Ashley’s life. We can’t have that. Sometimes I just want Spencer and Ashley to be happy together without any drama pulling them apart. I mean they can have the regular daily life drama (like why didn’t you go to the grocery store and pick up some more juice or arguing about not putting gas in the car), but not “nearly break-up” drama. Okay, I’m done venting. But I really am enjoying your story. Makes me want to write again…Post more soon.
