    Spencers Feels the Guilt, and Paula, well, she’s got a secret BUT SHHHHHHH DON’T TELL!

    "Paula, are you possitive you can do this? This is an emotional thing for you, I can take over and you can be with your daughter, I think you need to."

    "Back off Ben. I’ve almost stopped the bleeding, then we can get her to surgery. I will make sure that my daughters girlfriend will make it to that surgery table, and then I will make sure that she recovers."

    "Fine, I’ll go tell Spencer how she is doing."

     

     

    Spencer’s POV – Waiting room

    My tears subside, probably cause I have no more. I pull back from my sister and she wipes away the stray tears still sliding down my face. Her shirt is a little wet and I chuckle, it’s been awhile since I’ve cried on her shoulder.

    "You okay now?"

    "No." I shake my head too.

    "I know, but it’s always good to ask to make sure."

    Before I can respond I notice Ben walking my way, his face still as straight as it’s trained to be. It worries me, cause you’d think with me he’d be straight and let me know with emotions, but he won’t. He’s a doctir first, and my moms friend second.

    "Spencer, can I talk to you over here." He nods his head over to the front desk and I look at my sister before I get up. She shakes her head and gives me the okay and I walk with Ben over to the desk.

    The whole time, every step, I keep thinking it’s bad and he wants me out of the waiting room so that no one will have to see that they failed to save someone. The tears begin to build but I grit my teeth, I don’t know anything yet, so hold on tight.

    "Spencer…… Ashley cut real deep. It was deep enough that she keeps bleeding even when we think it’s stopped. She cut through muscle, but missed the veins by not much. She gotlucky in a way, but your mom is an amazing doctor. There’s no way your mom is gonna let Ashley go. After we get the bleeding to stop she’ll be sent up to the fourth floor for surgery. Her muscles need to be repaired and there’s nothing more we can do down here."
