    "Ashley, these therapist can tell if you lie," she laughs.

    "Who’s to say I’m gonna lie,"

    "Well, I dunno," she gives me an accussing look and my anger comes back.

    "I don’t lie, that’s your job Spencer."

     

    Spencers POV

    I just stare at her and think of what I can say to make her see that it will be the only time I ever lie. I would never want this to happen again, and I want to be there for her to help her heal. I want to make her trust me again. I want to show her I love her.

    "Let me prove to you that you can trust me again,"

    "I don’t care to trust Spencer, I never have,"

    "But I was the exception," I nod my head in understanding because I know what I have done and the bridges she had made I destroyed. "I can be again, I can’t screw up twice, I barely screw up once,"

    "You did screw up," she’s crying again, slowly but I know she won’t be able to contain it, she’s still very weak.

    I say nothing but I walk up to her and sit on her bed, clasping her hand in mine. She attempts to pull away but I pull her arm forward a bit and lean down to kiss her. She gasps when she realizes my face is just above hers. She looks into my eyes and I take my chance and lean the rest of the way in and lightly kiss her lips. She doesn’t respond, but whimpers and turns away.

    "Please, Spencer, I can’t-" I put my finger over her lips.

    "Trust me again, please?" and I attempt to kiss her again.

    This time she responds and she kisses me back, pulling me closer to her now. We don’t deepen it or even kiss with urgency, we just let passion do it’s thing and enjoy the comfort we both feel in each other. I feel one of her tears slid between our lips and she pulls away, looking away.

    "I don’t know," she says but I refuse to give up now.

    "I don’t expect us to be back together instantly or at the magnificence of my kiss," she chuckles, "but at least we could be here together and we could talk and-"
