Resident Evil: Here Comes The Horror – (Chapter: And so it begins)
It was semi-dark, the light that remained outside crept through all the windows with light drapes. It had a feeling of loneliness and now she was certain this could not be her home.
She slowly walked through the room, careful and cautious. The blonde looked around to see if there was any recollection of this place, but thus far, there wasn’t. It was right out in the open, and she wondered why she hadn’t noticed it right away. This could help me. She thought as she walked over to a picture frame that was on a mantel. It was the only picture there. She hesitantly picked it up.
The picture had a happy couple. A wedded happy couple. The groom was tall and very handsome, he had short black hair, and piercing hazel eyes. His smile seemed to go on accompanying his dimples, she was sure even after the picture was taken. His white teeth and that dazzling smile of a wealthy debonair stood out. He had the look of pride and joy in his eyes and on his face shone a light that only love can give a person. He stood in an embrace with what appeared to be his bride. He in his black tuxedo ("Ash?" She whispered, but it didn’t fit him somehow) and the woman in her long white dress. Him, she didn’t recognize, but the girl she did.
I’m married? She pondered the obvious as she held the frame at an angle, almost in complete disbelief. The girl had a smile, it didn’t quite reach her eyes as his did. The love in his face, was not mirrored on hers. The picture was a sudden one, since neither of them were posing, just toasting with others and she felt an ache for the young man, because if she loved him then, she knew, she didn’t now. How can I feel this way in less then a day? Did I love him? The blonde shook her head, I don’t know. But at least if I did, I should’ve been able to recognize him. And I didn’t. She saw a figure suddenly move and she turned around startled. "Hello?"
No one answered. She stood there afraid. A gust of wind blowing at the statue that was at the far end of where she stood. The blonde took a deep breath and for some reason this seemed to help; she steadied her nerves and slowly walked over to the statue as the wind blew the plastic around its shape. She notice a door. It was ajar and she went over to it and pushed it slightly, it opened to the outside, but she couldn’t make out what was out there, so she went back to where the statue was and flipped four gold toggles up. All of a sudden the mansion came to life, as all of the outside lights came on. She walked back to the door and pushed it out.
