Rude Comments and Silent Tears. – (Chapter: Well, Stop Making It So Real.)
LOVE? You have got to be kidding me. I have to express the emotion love with Ms. Davies? Oh boy. Well, she doesn’t seem to care, because all she can do is smirk. I’m freaking out here and all the kids in our class don’t like this either. Considering we are paired up in guy-guy and girl-girl groups. Once again, some kid makes a comment.
"Look, Ms. Davies. I don’t think anyone here expresses love to the same sex….. unlike you." And everyone giggled at the last part.
"Well if you have a problem with that, then you can fail this class." She told him, and very nicely I might add.
"Ummm, wha, ok, that’s, that’s fine." He stuttered out. Haha, he got told.
"Thank you. Now lets pair up!" Here we go.
The class rushed to their partners, and Ms. Davies started to walk over to me. Ok, ok, calm down Spencer. Breathe. It’s ok. Oh god she’s right in front of me. LOVE! Why love? I still can’t get over this. She planned this. Oh who am I kidding. She didn’t do this on purpose. I brought out of my thoughts by her voice.
"Shall we start?"
"Yeah."
"Ok, so how do you want to do this?"
"Umm, huh?" I was confused. How do I want to do this? What? Great, she’s laughing at me.
"I mean, how do you want to start?"
"What?" I have to admit I was acting stupid, but I didn’t want to make an idiot out of myself.
"Just forget it. I’ll start." With that, she stepped closer to me and put her hand on my check. I think I’m getting some butterflies in my stomach, right now. "Now respond." she said a little louder than a whisper.
"Ok." I breathed out. I put my arms around her waist and pulled her closer. Did I really just do that?
"Good." She removed her hand from my check and rested her head in the crook of my neck. It seemed as if her warm breathe spread though out my whole body. Before I could make another move, I heard screaming coming from across the room. She must have heard it too, because she lifted her head. I look at where it’s comming from and I see it’s Glen.
"Get off of me you fag!" He was screaming at Aiden.
"What is you problem, dude! I’m just doing the asssinment!"
"Well, stop making it so real! I’m starting to think you’re into me!"
"I’m not like that, ok? Ms. Davies is the only gay one in the room!" Oh, he did not just say that. I thought Aiden was my best friend. He knows I don’t like it why people make fun of her. I looked back at Ms. Davies and she was looking at the floor. Now, she’s unhappy. He’s gonna get a good smack when we get to 6th period.
"Ok, man. We’re cool now." They both smiled at each other and did their stupid little hand shake.
They maybe cool, but the both of them and me, are not. I was furious. They’re both pissing me off. Bad. Ms. Davies is still looking down, even though they have stopped.
"Hey." I say softly, putting my finger under her chin. She looked up at me. "Don’t worry about them two, they’re both getting their asses kicked after class."
"Thanks." She replied, with a wide smile.
"No problem." I smiled back.
We were still in the same position as before, my arms around her waist with not an inch of space between us. She was looking me in the eyes, as if looking for the truth, the reason I’m the only one who cares. She opened her mouth to say something else, but the bell rang and we parted.
"See you tomorrow, Spence." Spence? Hmmm, I like it.
