Shadows of Pain – (Chapter: ch 6)
Chapter 6
Ashley’s POV
“Mr. Carlin, I’m sorry but I am going to have to ask you to leave for the time being. Spencer wants her space and she doesn’t want to blow up at you with all the anger she is feeling right now” I said to him as I approached the group. He looked surprised but then its like he understood. He took a deep breath and nodded.
“Okay, I can respect that. Tell Spencer that I love her please? And to call me when she wants to talk” he said softly before looking towards where Spencer was standing a little ways behind me, then he sighed once more and turned around and started walking back to his car. I turned to look towards Spencer to make sure she couldn’t hear me and then started talking to the others in a quiet tone.
“Okay guys, I need you all to be understanding of Spencer right now okay? Clay don’t try to approach her, let her come to you okay?” I said softly to him before looking at the others. They all nodded their heads and looked at Spencer also, all with sad expressions.
“Alright then, lets go get unpacked!” I yelled and clapped my hands, making my way back towards Spencer. She seemed to be deep in thought because she didn’t look at me when I approached her.
“Hey” I said softly while reaching out to gently grab her elbow. She looked up at me slowly and I could see her eyes were welled up with tears. But she quickly sniffed and wiped her eyes, trying to act like nothing happened.
“Lets go get unpacked okay? I’ll even let you pick the room you want” I said smiling at her which made her smile back.
“Cool!” she said as she grabbed her stuff and started heading towards the entrance of the building. Once we were all inside our hallway I started explaining things to everybody.
“Okay guys listen up. I will be staying in this hall with you guys first of all, so if you ever need to talk to me about anything no matter what time it is then you can come to me okay?” I asked, making sure they understood. “Okay you will each have your own rooms, but you will share a bathroom with one other person so try to figure out how you want that to work out and go pick your rooms” I said smiling softly at them. Once they were all walking away I turned to Spencer who has yet to move.
