Flashback

Spencer POV

I was walking through the quad when I saw a friendly face smiling at me through the crowd, her smile turns suddenly into a frown.

“Hey girl, you don’t look to good.” She says with a concerned expression.

“ Yeah.” I say weakly. She frowns and moves forward and touches my shoulder.

“What’s wrong Spence? I know we haven’t been friends until recently but you know you can talk to me.”

I sighed, I needed to let it out, free myself from this pain. I felt myself compelled to tell her the truth. Our friendship was relatively new but she had gained my trust. When I finally let my guard down, I felt myself drop to the ground. She wraps her arms around me holding me

tightly to her. She was caressing my hair , her fingers made soft circular motions on my back. While made soothing sounds into my ear.

“Spence, what is it? What happened?” she pulls back and holds my shoulders and looks intently at me. I feel tears form but hold it in, I can’t stop my breathing from being heavy though. She gently pulls me up while still holding me close to her and we start walking in the direction of her car.

“Come on Spence let’s go somewhere so we can talk.” she opens the passenger door and she starts up her car and we leave. I don’t bother texting Ashley. I can’t see her right now and I can’t talk to her.

We rode in silence, my eyes were fixed in front of me but from time to time I would notice her eyes flicker towards mine.

“Spence.” That’s when I realized the car had stopped and we were in front of her house. I unbuckle my seat belt. I must of it done it slow because the next thing I know Madison is already outside and in front of my door. She opens my door and extends her hand out waiting for me to take it. I take it and step out of the car. She leads me towards her house. I walk behind her and as she reaches into her purse she grabs what seems like a mountain of keys.
