Ashley: “So…you don’t want to get in the front?”
Spencer: “Oh, I’m allowed now?!”
Ashley: “Whatever, I don’t feel like arguing with you tonight.” I say not caring, then drive off.
We get home and Spencer hurries to her room. Aunt Paula is sitting in the living room.
Paula: “Hey.”
Ashley: “Hi.”
Paula: “What’s wrong with Spencer?”
Ashley: “I guess she’s just tired.” I gulp.
Yea, like I’m gonna tell her I had sex with Spencer and now Spencer’s all jealous because I’m dating someone. Psh, you can dream it, but it ain’t happenin’
Paula: “Oh, ok. So,…you three have fun tonight?”
Ashley: “Yea, I guess. I’m gonna go see if Spence is still awake then get to bed, I’m kind of tired too.” Lie, I’m not tired, but I have to talk to Spencer and get her to back off.
Paula: “Ok, see you in the morning.” I nod and walk to Spencer’s room.
I go in ready to tell her off, but I’m surprised when I see Spencer sitting in her bed, holding her knees to her chest, and crying her heart out. Oh God…I want to cradle her, and tell her everything will be fine. But I can’t do that anymore, it might turn into something else. She looks up at me, her cheeks wet.
Spencer: “You held my hand, you looked me in the eyes, and then earlier….I thought you wanted me.”
Ashley: “I’m sorry. I got caught up…it’s an easy thing to do when I’m around you.” Did I really just say that? I hope she didn’t catch it.
Spencer: “You love her?” I’m a little caught off guard.
Ashley: “Spencer I’m…we…there is that-that…” I sigh. “I don’t know.” I say looking down.
Spencer: “But you went after her. You fought to keep her.”
Ashley: “Yes…because I do want to be with her, but…I mean…I don’t wanna hurt you, but like I said…Emily.” I really, really do…you know…Spencer. But I can’t just drop Emily like that. Like I said before, I do like her.
Spencer: “I…I had the chance, right? Stupid me, I gave it up. I threw it away. You’re with her…I guess you deserve to be with her. You deserve to be happy. So just go. Go be happy.” she says, her tears continuously falling.
Ashley: “I’ll never forget…” she looks up at me. “I’ll never forget being with you…what we almost were. You were my first. My first everything. My first kiss. My first…time…” she looks at me surprised.
Spencer: “I…”
Ashley: “Yea, you were my first.” I say smiling to hide my true emotions. We stare at each other, contently for a while.
Ashley: “I’ll always remember…” I whisper loud enough for her to hear me. Then I leave and go to my room.
Ashley: “My first love.” I say, leaning against my door, my eyes closed and silent tears falling.

God, you’re killing me here. I know you’re probably tired of hearing this from me but I can’t help it. Emily has got to go, please!!! Sooner rather than later damn it!! Stupid Spencer!! She took to long to get her act together and now it’s too late. UGH!!! Okay, I think I vented enough. You’re doing an awesome job with this story. Can’t wait to see what happens next. PMS!!
i toally agree about emily having to go, but i totally see where ashley is coming from while she is with her. ashley does deserve to be happy and if she’s happy with emily, then so be it .. right now! loL! but spencer really did screw up. she had her chance and she didn’t do anything about it. this story rocks paL! awesome update!! PMASAP!!
Time will bring them together I reckon but Ash did do the right thing, Spencer has only just recently come to terms with who she is and she obviously isn’t comfortable comming out yet and that would be a real strain on any relationship Ash and Spencer could have. I think that when Spencer is ready to fully put herself out there, and for her own benifit not just to get Ash, then hey have a real chance of kicking anyone else to the curb! Thanks for posting, I love reading this fan fic!

I at least understood Spencer’s fear about coming out and being with Ashley, but this I so don’t get, Ashley’s being completely stupid. Everyone’s going to end up getting hurt.
