    SPENCER’S P.O.V.

    I go to my room and think. About everything. Michelle, she was really good for me. She was a great girlfriend. She helped me get used to PDA with a girl. But I still…I still have those feelings. For Ashley. Then the girl on my mind walks into my room.

    Ashley: “So, Michelle’s gone?” I nod.

    Spencer: “We’re done. We broke up.” she looks at me surprised.

    Ashley: “Why? I thought everything was so good with you two.”

    Spencer: “It was a mutual breakup.”

    Ashley: “I still don’t understand why.” she says while shaking her head in confusion. “What was wrong Spence?”

    Spencer: “You know what was wrong.” I say in monotone. “You know exactly why we broke up. It’s the reason you’ve brought me on almost every date you’ve had with Emily. It’s the reason you had a fit when I dated Michelle. It’s the reason I still sneak into your room at night. She isn’t you. You’re the perfect fit, you’re my missing piece…it’s you.” she just stands there, eyes wandering every where, but never landing on me.

    Spencer: “I thought you’d be happy about this. You didn’t really want me to date her anyway.” I say in monotone. She hangs her head low. “Isn’t this what you wanted?” She won’t say anything. She’s just standing there, playing with the hem of her shirt. “Say something.”

    Ashley: “Spencer, I thought we were over that.”

    Spencer: “No. We were never over it. It was just, put to the side, never to be thought of again. But I couldn’t forget it, and obviously neither could you. It is the inevitable.” I say with a slight chuckle.

    Ashley: “I know.” she barely whispers.

    Spencer: “Once upon a time, you loved me…what happened? Love doesn’t just fade like that. So where is it?”

    Ashley: “You already know… ” she trails off.

    Spencer: “Then why won’t you be with me?” I ask sadly. “I know you still feel the same way. You’re just afraid to admit it. Afraid of accepting the fact that…you still love me, as much as I love you.”

    Ashley: “No.” she says shaking her head.

    Spencer: Yes!”

    Ashley: “No!!! That’s not what I’m afraid of. I’m afraid of being hurt by you…again. Every time I’ve told you how I really felt, every time I’ve laid my heart on the line you’ve always ended up hurting me. Every time. I just…I can’t take that kind of pain anymore Spencer.” I just stare at her.

    Ashley: “So go ahead, ask me again why I won’t let myself be with you. I don’t trust you Spencer!” she says sternly through tears. “You’re a flake.” my face drops, along with my heart.

    Spencer: “So it’s my fault? You’re scared I’ll hurt you?” I ask ashamed. She just looks down.

    Ashley: “I just…I can’t…”

    Spencer: “Love’s all about the risks, right?”

    Ashley: “You’ve hurt me too many times…I can’t.” she says, shaking her head, her tears constantly falling.

    Spencer: “I’m sorry. I’m sorry for everything, for ditching you…twice. For toying with you. For not being able to make up my mind, for all of it. I’m sorry. But you can’t just throw this away, your running away from what we both want.”

    Ashley: “I’m with Emily.”

    Spencer: “I don’t care!!! It still doesn’t change the fact that I love you, and you love me back!” we were quiet for some time. She just looks at me…she looks confused.

    Spencer: “Tell me…if you can honestly stand there, look me in the eyes, and tell me you don’t love me! Tell me you don’t want to be with me…then I will drop this. I will officially let this go.” I say with tears of frustration running down my face. She just stands there and looking at me.

    Ashley: “You know I still love you. I’m still in love with you, I will always be in love with you. But I…I can’t do this. I can’t be with you.” she says sadly, both of us crying hard.

    Spencer: “Then you already know I’ll never stop trying.” I say sadly. She shakes her head, backing away, leaving me in my room alone.

    ASHLEY’S P.O.V.

    I can’t take this. I jogged down the steps, wiping my eyes hurriedly. I find Emily sitting on the couch.

    Emily: “What’s wrong babe?” I must suck at hiding my emotions.

    Ashley: “Nothing. Let me walk you home.” I say, trying to act happy. I have to get out of this house.

    Emily: “Um…okay.” she says sounding confused. I walk her home.

Ashley needs to grow the fuck up already…the past is in the past, and I hate the fact that she is stringing Emily along just to fulfill her needs….She better shape up before she really loses Spencer for good…She already fucked up her relationship with Michelle which was wrong…She can’t be with Emilt, and want Spencer to be alone…it just doesn’t work like that…She can’t have her cake and eat it too

    5. I see where Ash is coming from, but damn, Spencer Admits that she burned her and she wouldn’t do it again, and there would be no reason to hide their relationship. Hell, even paula can see the tension. Ashley just needs to grow up and stop being a crybaby. And You proved my theory that Emily is a Bimbo, Can she even see, whats right in fron of her.

    6. Bloody hell, what is wrong with Ashley! She’s acting like a tart. I know she doesn’t trust Spencer not hurting her again, but she’s changed. Can’t she see that. I agree with everyone else, it’s wrong of her to string Emily along. She needs to break up with her even if she doesn’t date Spencer. Well, I can’t wait for the bomb to drop. Cheers mate.
