Singing Bridges (We All Fall) – (Chapter: I'll wait for you if you want me to)
Now it’s just me, myself, and I. Ashley leaned back and tried to fall asleep, but there was a knock at her door that prevented it. “Uh… come in?” Ashley watched as a brunette walked in through the door and looked up at Ashley. “Uh… hi, you’re not my grandmother.” “Apparently not, haha. I’m Ashley.” “Natalie. So, you happen to know where they moved my grandma?” “I think they said something about a few doors down, but I really don’t know.” “Oh, whatever, I don’t exactly want to see her all that much. She always complains that I’m never in proper attire. What the hell does she want me to wear here, a dress?” Ashley smiled and laughed a bit. “So what are you in here for, Ashley?” “Oh, um… I got beaten by a bunch of shitheads from school just because I’m different.” Natalie looked at Ashley confused. “How are you different?” Ashley looked away from Natalie and towards the floor. “I’m gay. And some of the people I thought I could call my friends just left me and let me get hurt.” “Oh shit. I’m so sorry Ashley.” “You’re not going to run away screaming that I’m going to turn you?” “What? No way! You’re really nice. Why the hell would I do something like that?” “It’s just what other people might do. But obviously, you aren’t like other people… I like that.” Natalie blushed and smiled “Well, I’m glad you like that, because that’s just who I am.”
The new friends continued to talk until they had learned as much as possible about the other. Ashley opened up and told Natalie all about Spencer and how she’s in love with the blond haired girl and that Spencer abandoned Ashley when she needed her most. Natalie promised Ashley that she’d never leave her like Spencer did, but Ashley told Natalie not to make any promises; they had all been broken when it came to Ashley. Each day after that first day they met, Natalie would stop by for a while and talk with Ashley, making sure she was okay and not lonely because Ashley’s parents never came by. Natalie had told Ashley that no matter what, no child should be abandoned by their parents. Natalie told Ashley that she’d be there to protect Ashley from anything she could and that she’ll be the best friend that Ashley needs.
True enough, Natalie stuck to her words.

Awww, this chapter was for me? lol Cool. I bet Natalie is gonna be real protective of Ashley when Spencer comes back around. Who knew you could meet your loyal best friend by accident. But then again, I think nothing is an addicent. Everything happens for a reason. lol Just like the title of my first fanfic. Great job on this chapter. PMASAP
