Paula: "Spencer!"

Spencer embraced her Mom in a hug.

Spencer: "Mom, so good to see you, Happpy Mother’s Day!"

Paula: "Thank you, and how is my grandson?"

Ashley walked up behind Spencer with Ty in a stroller.

Paula: "There he is! Oh and look, he’s gotten so big!"

Paula got down on the ground to see him Ty smiled and grabbed hold of Paula’s hand. She got back up and looked at Ashley.

Paula: "So. You decided to come back."

Ashley: "…Yeah I did.."

Spencer: "Mom, come on let’s go inside."

Paula: "Fine."

She followed Spencer into the house. Ashley took a deep breath and went in after them.

Everybody was there. Kyla, Aiden, Aiden’s girlfriend, Arthur, Paula, Spencer, Ashley, and of course, Ty. The grill was on fire. The entire backyard smelled like hamburgers, chicken, hot dogs, and ribs. Spencer and Ashley were watching Kyla and Ty crawl around in the grass.

Spencer: "Ash…does Kyla-"

Ashley: "No she’s not slow, we already checked."

Spencer: "Oh. hahaha.."

Ashley: "Aiden and that girl are getting a little to close."

Spencer: "She’s his girlfriend Ash."

Ashley: "Yeah so?"

Spencer: "*chuckle* no need to be jealous miss davies. You have me remeber?"

Ashley: "Oh yeah."

Spencer kissed Ashley on the lips. Arthur and Paula were standing next to the grill.

Paula: "God Arthur I really don’t think they’re ready. We shouldn’t have said yes that night."

Arthur: "Paula, calm down."

Paula: "How can I calm down?! Arthur, they’re already acting like they’re married! Ashley’s running off and doing God knows what, whild Spencer’s at home worrying herself to death-"

Arthur: "Okay, okay, we’ll talk to her."

Paula: "I’ve tried! Spencer won’t-"

Arthur: "Not Spencer."

Paula looked over at the future couple.

Paula: "Oh. You mean Ashley."

Arthur: "She seems to be the problem."

Paula: "Fine. Go get her."

Ashley: "You guys wanted to talk to me?"

The three of them were standing in the kitchen while everyone else stayed outside.

Arthur: "Well, Ashley. It’s not a secret as to what you did a couple weeks ago."

Ashley hung her head a little.

ashley: "Yeah..I know."

Paula: "…We just..We want to make sure that it doesn’t happen again. I mean, I myself think it was a mistake to-"

Arthur: "Paula."

Paula: "No, listen Ashley, when you came in here on New Years Eve asking our permisson to marry our daughter, we knew that you loved her. Look at me."

Ashley lifted her head up and looked Paula in the eyes.

Paula: "If you’re going to treat her like this, making her worry about you, and make her cry for you, I swear I won’t allow it. I’ll take Spencer and Ty so far away from you you’ll never be able to touch them. Do you understand?"

Ashley nodded her head.

Arthur: "Well. That’s all that needed to be said then. Ashley, when you marry Spencer…you have to take responsibility for your family. Nothing willl ever be more important than those two."

Ashley: "I understand."

Paula: "Good…"

They stood in silence for a moment. But, of course, it was broken.

Spencer: "O my god Kyla don’t-"

KABOOOOOOM!!!!!

Arthur: "Oh Geez, Kyla!"

They ran out of the house and back into the yard. A huge cloud of black smoke engulfed everyone. When it disappeared, Kyla, Aiden, and Spencer were covered in soot.

Spencer: "Kyla!"

Kyla: "Well no one told me you weren’t supposed to do that! So sorry!"

Ashley felt someone’s hand on her shoulder. She turned around. Paula was standing in front of her.

Paula: "One last thing. If you ever lay a hand on her, I will personally beat the Hell out of you."

The smoke slowly started to disappear completely.

Kyla: "*cough* Happy*cough* Mother’s *cough* Day!"

Spencer: "Oh God I think I’m gonna have a asthma attack."
