Ashley hadn’t been sleeping well. Ty and Spencer slept quietly these days. But Ashley was getting worse and worse as the days dragged on. She didn’t know what it was. After the accident she had with Ty, she was feeling horrible. She tried to avoid hurting him at all costs. To her it meant not changing his diaper, obviously, and not holding him, in fear of dropping him. At only a couple weeks old that’s all he really needed. No matter what Spencer tried to do to get Ashley back up, she ended up being lower. Going to school and taking care of Ty wasn’t easy either. Most days Glen would take him while Spencer and Ashley were away, and on rare occasions Aiden would take him if he wasn’t to tired. Even with all of the childcare, Spencer didn’t feel right leaving Ty alone all the time, she thought it was best if she took care of him, she and ashley that is. It wasn’t long before Spencer decided to just drop out of high school altogether. She decided it was best to just take the GED and be able to stay home with her son.

Ashley was sitting alone in her bed when Spencer came in carrying Ty.

Spencer: "Going to school today ash?"

Ashley: "…No.."

She looked up from the bed covers and stared at the baby.

ashley: "Is he okay?"

Spencer: "He’s fine, just  a little on the hot side though."

Ashley: "..Spencer…I..-"

Spencer: "I know Ash, you’ve been feeling down lately. It’s okay.."

She sat down next to her love and put a free arm around her shoulder.

Spencer: "I know you’ve been feeling down lately. And if you want to tell me why then I’m here."

Ashley: "Thanks Spencer.."

Spencer: "So..do you want to tell me?"

Ashley looked into Spencer’s eyes for a brief moment. 

Ashley: "Your exhausted aren’t you?"

Spencer: "No I’m fine."

Ashley could tell she was lieng.

Spencer: "I’m okay Ash. Right now we have to worry about you-"

Ashley: "No, no we’re not going to worry about me. I’m just being weird that’s all."

Spencer: "Ashley things like this don’t normally happen. You’ve been falling into depression don’t you realize that?"

Ashley: "Oh come on SPence it isn’t that bad-"

Spencer: "Yes it is. Is it your parents? Cause if it is then I-"

Ashley: "No it’s not them."

She said this in a small voice.

Spencer: "Ashley talk to me..please?"

They sat in silence for a moment. Ty began to whine a little bit.

Spencer: "Okay Ash..I guess I’ll move away from you slowly before you do anything crazy."

Ashley didn’t say anything as Spencer got up and left her alone.
