    Confirmations

    Ashley smiled at hearing how Spencer had discussed her with Paula.   She squeezed her tighter and whispered ‘I love you’ in her ear.  Spencer rolled on top of Ashley and began kissing her deeply.  Her hands were everywhere but gentle and slow.

    Paula continued, “But Spencer a fling is one thing, but you can’t be gay.  You can’t make this a life long thing…Spencer! Spencer!  Do you hear me?!  Hello, Spencer!”

    Spencer was lost in her kiss with Ashley when she abruptly remembered that was on the phone.   She broke the kiss and shouted back to the speaker, “I’m listening.”  Ashley pulled her back into a kiss.

    Spencer was shocked to hear her father’s voice who had taken the phone away from Paula. “Did I hear that you were at that dyke Christine’s house?”  Ashley broke the kiss.  It was all that Ashley could do not to say anything as Spencer motioned her not to get into it.  “You need to come home.  We’ve got talk about this kissing girls thing that Clay told us he saw you doing.  I told you.  I will not have any gays in our family.  Bring the car home now!”

    Spencer lay in Ashley’s arms with tears in her eyes.  Ashley couldn’t stand to see her like this.  She knew that Clay must have seen something with Spencer and Chelsea.  But all that have been forgiven now, even with Chelsea’s help.  She sat up and closed the phone hanging up on Spencer’s father.

    “Baby, I’m sorry.  I couldn’t take you having to deal with that.  Believe me, hanging up on them has not made it any worse.  They just may be over here or something.  But, I just couldn’t let it continue.”

    Spencer’s phone began to buzz again and the girls ignored it.

    “Ashley….”

    “Yes, baby…..”

    “Make love to me again….I want to feel better.  I want to feel the world where it’s only you and me again…”

    Ashley pulled her close and granted her wish.

    Arthur stared at the phone, “I can’t believe she hung up on me.  My little girl hung up on her own father!”

    “Paula, what’s going on?  You know more than you are saying, don’t you?  What’s really going on?”

    “Arthur, I don’t think that either one of us is ready for what’s really going on!”  Paula answered storming out of the room.  She knew that her answer had double meaning that she hoped never got out.

I hope Arthur sees how much Spence & Ash are in love and doesn’t try to keep them apart…that quite simply would be heartbreaking especially with them just getting back together.
