    There’s a storm brewing, but who is it that gets hurt this time?

    So, Jessica is coming in the studio today to get started on the record.  To say this is going to be weird would be an understatment.  Oh, well.  She finally arrives ten minutes late, and I am more than willing to be angry with her.

    "Dude, you know this is precious studio time, and you’ve already wasted ten minutes of it."  I say to her.

    "Sorry."  That is all she says.

    We talk for a little while about the sound that she wants on this record, and I agree.  The only problem is that it sounds way to much like my old stuff.  We decide to take a break.

    "So, Ashley, how’s the love life?"  She ask.

    Bitch.  You know how my fucking love life is.

    "I’m not looking right now.  I’m just concentrating on this."  I say not looking at her.

    "Or, is it just the fact that I’ve got what you want."  She says.  What the hell?  She is not going to come in my studio and talk to me like that.

    "I’d advice you not to use that tone with me, and I’ll be damned if you are going to talk about Spencer like some object you can just own."  I say, and she looks down.

    The rest of the time the only words that are spoken are about music.  She annoys the living shit out of me.  She keeps trying to talk about Spencer.  She tells stories, and I just pretend to listen.  If she wanted to go story for story against me about Spencer, I’d kick her ass.

    So, we’re finished for the day, and we’ve only layed down about two songs.  Truth be told, she is not as good as I’ve been hearing.  She doesn’t write her own songs, but that really isn’t the way we work here.  We want our artist to be more involved in their own stuff.  After all, that is what being a musician is about.

    She gets up to leave, and I head for the door.  She stops me.

    "You know, Spencer was stupid for letting you go."  She grins.  She’s way to close to me.  Wait, what did she just say.  I think I’m going to have to kick this bitches ass.  I just go to walk by her.
