Carmen’s face turns from hurt to anger. “What the hell does this little whore have that I don’t?” Carmen says, sizing Ashley up with her eyes. “Haven’t you heard of the infamous Ashley Davies? She’s using you Spencer, how can you not see that? No one can be so blind to not see that.” Carmen is about to say something else but before anything can leave her mouth I’m shoved out of the way and into the door as Ashley barrels into Carmen taking her by the collar and shoves her into the wall across the hallway.

“What did you just say?” Ashley asks while she has Carmen pinned to wall. The force of her hands and forearms on Carmen’s chest is so strong Carmen’s feet are barely touching the ground.

“Ashley, stop it.” I say taking a step towards the two of them.

“Spencer, you stay out of this.” Ashley says turning to face me while still pinning Carmen to the wall using one hand and the other is pointed to me. I immediately stop when I see the look in Ashley’s eyes. I’ve never seen so much anger built up in one person, it looks like she’s about to kill Carmen right then and there but I don’t know how to stop Ashley right now. I know if I were to lay a hand on her then she’d probably break my arm in two. I look around the hallway and thankfully no one is rushing out of their rooms to witness what’s going on, then again it is Friday night and most people are already gone to parties and such.

Ashley brings her attention back to Carmen. “I asked you question. What did you just say?” She repeats herself and emphasizes her point by shoving Carmen into the wall again.

To say Carmen looked scared would be an understatement. I don’t know if she was just trying to test how far she could push Ashley or if she thought she could take her; but whatever it was, I think she got her answer. After a few moments of being pinned, Carmen’s expression turns from scared to calm and I’m surprised to see a sly grin creep onto her face.

“What the fuck are you smiling about?” Ashley asks shoving her again; I’m a little curious too.
