The King High Killer – (Chapter: Chapter 9 Nine, Blood Will Flow Like Wine)
“I’ll see you soon, for sure.” Spencer said, looking the brunette intently in the eyes, her own pleading. Ashley suddenly realized why the blonde put up a fight at all as tears swam in her blue orbs. She was gnawing on her lip, her arms hanging helplessly at her sides, as her gaze screamed her concern and fear. She said “for sure,” Ashley thought, knowing that Spencer used the phrase with her family when saying goodbye in a superstitious promise. It caused the brunette to swallow hard because if Spencer was using it with her now, it must mean she cared.
“For sure, Spencer.” Ashley promised in a whisper, conveying with her eyes that she had no plans of not returning.
“For sure.” Spencer reiterated, looking slightly calmer. With a quick grin, Ashley pushed off the bookshelf and hoisted herself through the vent. As soon as she was up there she was coughing hard because of the dust and poor ventilation. Ironic, she thought.
“You okay?” Ashley heard whispered down below, noting the quiver of fear in the blonde’s voice.
“I’m fine.” The brunette whispered back, suddenly a lot more afraid. Ashley didn’t want to be separated from Spencer for even a moment and the brunette wasn’t all at okay with the idea of moving closer to the Killer upstairs.
She did her best to turn around in the tight space and starting retreating towards where she knew the office below ended. She’d have to travel closer to the kitchen and shimmy up the vents to get nearer to ground level.
Down below Spencer went back to her father’s side, shaking him and begging him to wake up. She kept glancing back to the monitors but the intruder was nowhere to be found. Not that she needed to look, she could still hear the banging on the door at the top of the steps.
She desperately wished that there were cameras in the kitchen, but was equally glad that she didn’t have to witness the person throwing their weight against the door. Between the banging, Ashley’s absence, the creepy phone call, the darkened basement, and her father’s inability to wake up, Spencer was a mess.
Tears were streaming down her face as panicked sobs consumed her. She was terrified for the brunette, her father, and herself, and felt completely helpless. “Daddy! Please wake up!” She cried. Now she wished she had put up more of a fight to keep Ashley down there. She wanted the brunette’s calming presence and her powerlessness over the situation was starting to consume her.

ok so you had me practically crying one minute with their declarations of love for each other, and then pissed off the next when spence didn’t jump in to tell ash that she meant what she said! arrgghhhh! anyway I digress. this whole chap was freaking awesome, ash climbing through vents, their fight that turned totally hot, even their little agreement about fooling around (although damn I wish they’d just tell each other they love each other and make the other realize they mean it!!), everything! so is carmen dead? guess we’ll find out soon enough. excellent update stix, very much worth the wait! pms please!!
Ok, I liked: 1. Spencer using “for sure” on Ashley, that was very telling. 2. Ninja Ashley ;) no further explanation needed for that. 3. The reference to “Murder, She Wrote.” 4. Declarations of love. 5. Making out while on the brink of certain death … hot. 6. the “fooling around” clause. I DID NOT like: 1. rat poop … eww 2. taking back the declarations of love 3. constant interruptions to the girls making out 4. Carmen. Oh and p.s LOVED the birthday greeting. Thanks sweetie.
De-lurking to say I love this story. PMS!!
This is a good story and I hope you can continue on with it. I like how they are mad one minute and then all heated up the next. Its hot to do that sometimes.
fuck. okay soooo one sec i’m like shittng bricks scared that they are about to die. then the next i’m pissed cuz theyre back to oh i hate you. and spencer seriously needs to fucking chill with the “i’m gonna be alone and deal with shit on my own” cuz isn’t that how her and ashley stopped being friends in the first place. i’m sorry but i would have left carmen walking by her damnself. and i don’t give a fuck what anyone says, i think the killer is(…) but seriously is carmen and lily dead cuz even though i don’t like carmen and lily is ok, it would suck if they’re dead and spence and ash missed it cuz they can’t keep their hands off each other. so that was an awesome chapter, i got super excited when i saw it there then i started yelling at the computer like they could really hear me, but anywho awesome chapter, can not wait for more cuz this story is hella badass. keep up the good work. pms
What an emotional roller coaster that was! freakin brilliant :) of course I knew they were going to be interrupted- but i was pleasantly surprised by how far they’d gotten. I’m not sure why neither one is capable of owning their confessions of love, but I do know that love makes you do and say stupid shit so I’ll chock it up to that for now :)
OMGGGGGG!!!!! Okay please PMS like NOW! This story is amazing I want more!
