Spencer was glad she didn’t just put something in her mouth or take a big drink of whatever because she would have spit it everywhere.

“She’s your….what?” She just stared shocked.

“She’s my daughter.” Mandy looked down and moved around the other side of the counter to continue cleaning.

“How?” Spencer asked shaking her head, she had a son she didn’t understand how someone could basically work for their daughter their whole life and never tell her the truth.

“It’s a long story, I shouldn’t have told you.” She couldn’t look up she didn’t know why she told Spencer she never told anyone but after seeing Ashley today she thought it might be time to tell Ashley the truth.

“NO….TELL ME NOW….MY GIRLFRIEND IS UPSTAIRS IN PAIN…….HER WHOLE LIFE EVERYONE HAS LIED TO HER ABOUT WHO YOU ARE AND I WANT YOU TO ANSWER MY QUESTIONS…..HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE.” Mandy was shocked she had never heard Spencer yell so she quickly started talking.

“I…..well…..when I got pregnant I was 15.…and Raife…..well I didn’t want him to get into trouble so he put me up in a hotel with doctors to take care of anything I needed I basically ran away from home until after she was born then he took her and I took a job with him so I could spend as much time as I wanted but we couldn’t tell anyone. I loved them both Spencer, I loved Raife and even though he wasn’t perfect he loved me too. Whenever she asked about her mother he just wouldn’t answer her and the question always hung in the air. I hated the way Raife was with her but I was already to far in, he would leave her for months and I would take care of her but as her maid not as her mother. Then after he died Ashley was an adult and it was too late.”

Mandy had tears falling down her face she loved Ashley it was clear and Spencer couldn’t put herself in her shoes after all she was only 15.

“You have to tell her….” Spencer just let the sentence hang in the air.

“No…it’s to late Spencer.” Mandy shook her head she wanted to believe their could be a chance for her and Ashley but reality told her she missed her shot.
