    “I know” she said quietly

     

    “What do you want from me?” Ashley asked softly

     

    “I want you to come to my office and ask to lunch”

     

    “So can you turn me down?”

     

    Spencer nodded

     

    Ashley smiled

     

    Spencer felt like crying

     

    “You’ve had too much to drink” Ashley said gently

     

    “Well it’s your fault. I can’t stand watching you with her. Not last Saturday and not tonight”

     

    “Are you jealous?”

     

    Spencer nodded “but I have no right to be”

     

    Ashley watched her for a moment “how are you getting home?”

     

    “Courtney and Tristan”   

    “Let me take you home” Ashley suggested

     

    Spencer laughed “I thought you were on a date?”

     

    “summer can find a ride home” she said “maybe with Allison”

     

    “You’re incorrigible” Spencer said shaking her head

     

    “It’s not summer I want” Ashley said softly

     

    “Have you kissed her?” Spencer asked searching for the answer in her eyes “you have, haven’t you?”

     

    “Spencer…”

     

    “Did you?”

     

    “Yes”

     

    Spencer was filled with jealousy that is scared it the thought of her kissing someone else gripped her heart.

     

    Ashley gathered her in her arms and Spencer wrapped her own around Ashley’s waist, laying her head on her shoulder.

     

    “So much for your reputation” she murmured

     

    “GODMAN Spencer summer isn’t who I want!” she said again

     

    Spencer pulled out of her arms “but she wants you”

     

    “And you don’t want me” Ashley said

     

    Spencer turned around “I do want you” she whispered

     

    “Spence?”

     

    She turned back around and looked in her eyes “I do want you” she repeated

     

    She no longer cared that she would hate herself in the morning. She didn’t care if Ashley wasn’t for her. She wanted to make love with her again and she could no longer deny herself.

     

    “Then let’s get out of here”

     

    “I’m going to hate myself tomorrow” Spencer said

    “No” Ashley said softly cupping her face with one palm. “I’ll be right back. Stay here. Ill tell them we’re leaving”

     

    Spencer wrapped herself around her arms thinking she had lost her mind for agreeing to this. But for once she wasn’t going to talk herself out of it.

    5. I just finished reading this magnificent story and it’s incomplete. Each chapter drew me further into the story and characters…I actually love this story and can’t believe that there hasn’t been an update in months. Please I beg of you finish…don’t leave us dangling over the cliff by a string.

    11. This story is WAY to familar to my liking. Read Gerri Hill’s published book: ONE SUMMER NIGHT and the story AND the dialog is the same or at least very close to it.
