I looked up, mid-chew, to see who was talking to me. I knew she wasn’t one of the new sisters, but I didn’t actually know who she was.
”You are sleeping with Ashley, aren’t you?” I don’t move as I try to figure out where this is going. “Alyssa’s going to kill you when she finds out.”
Surprise, surprise, “Why?”
She cringed slightly at my less than lady like manners, “Because they are so a couple.”
”How do you know that?”
”They aren’t as discrete as they like to believe. Even we see the glances and touches.”
”Hmm,” I don’t bother to reply as I continue eating.
”Morning ladies,” Ashley enters the room and plops down next to me before leaning over towards me and opening her mouth expectantly.
I roll my eyes, but I don’t bother to reprimand her laziness.
”Damn Ash, are you really that lazy?”
I hear silence before there is suddenly a wave of hushed whispers.
”Yeah, but that’s because I’m tired. Someone had this idea where…”
My hand quickly clamped over her mouth, “Do not even think about it.” I turned back to my bowl in time to catch Alyssa stealing a bite, “Is it steal-Spencer’s-food day?”
Alyssa smiled, “Nah, it’s just a perk.”
”Perk of what?” one of the sisters suddenly asked.
I continued to eat my cereal hoping to prevent them from stealing any more of my meal.
”Of fucking Spencer.”
The milk and cereal that had been previously in my mouth now rested on one of the other sister’s head.
