The Return – (Chapter: Sixteen)
“No problem.”
The conversation had turned from casual banter to phone foreplay. She was picturing everything Kerry was describing about where she wanted to touch Kim and how much pleasure she promised to provide, but then a yawned had escaped Kim’s mouth and Kerry had politely suggested that they wait for the real thing on Friday.
Well now it was Friday and Kim was having a lot of trouble concentrating on what her patients were saying. All she could think about was kissing Kerry, stroking her skin, tasting her flesh.
She had put clean sheets on the bed before leaving for work and set candles up throughout the bedroom, as well as the rest of her home. When she got home she would start dinner and begin the task of lighting them all.
Kim wanted the evening to be perfect. This was their second chance and she didn’t want anything to go wrong as they consummated what Kim thought was a miracle to be happening. She was with Kerry, the woman she loved, the woman she had been in love with for so long.
She recognized the number on her call display when her office phone rang about 2:00.
“Well, hello Dr. Weaver. Is this a professional or personal call?”
“I’m just sitting here in my office having a lot of trouble concentrating and I think it’s your fault.”
“Mine?” Kim asked, feigning indignation.
“That’s right. I’m having trouble keeping my mind on budget numbers when I keep seeing images of your beautiful body crossing my mind.”
“I see. So you thought you should call me and tell about this.”
“Well why should I be the only one not getting any work done?”
“Trust me Kerry, nothing is getting done here either. What time will you be over tonight?”
“I’m going to be a little late. There was a change of plans with Henry. Mr. Lopez has a cold so they’re going to take him next weekend.”
“Oh?”
“Don’t worry m’dear. Abby and Luka are going to play parents tonight, but I’ll need to pick him up tomorrow afternoon.”
“I had hoped to keep you tied to my bed all weekend, but I’ll acquiesce for my buddy Henry.”
“Kim?!”
“Not literally tied up, Kerry, just occupied.”
“Considering that it’s been almost three years since I was ‘occupied’ I may need Sunday to recover.”
“Count on it, Weaver.”
