First day of Trouble

Bella-POV

After telling Renee and Phil about mine and Edward's engagement, we headed home on the Sunday night.

Its now Monday and well I have to go to work at the Newton's camp supplies shop for my shift, so I parked up my truck and went in.

I was greeted by an unhappy Mike, who I assumed like everyone else had found out about mine and Edwards engagement party, that the Cullen family were holding for me and Edward over the weekend.

As I walked up behind the counter Mike said, "Congratulations on the engagement." which confirmed my theory.

"Thanks Mike," I replied a little smug. I know I shouldn't have but I laughed a little to myself, at the thought of Mike Newton, because I could tell it in his eyes when he spoke that he was jealous. Mike and I ended up having a conversation about wolves, they had been seen yet again too close to the Newton's store which brought back some bad memories about my best friend Jacob Black. Trying not to think about it much I pushed it to the back of my mind and continued the conversation, until it was the end of my shift and I had to go home.

I was walking outside the Newton's store and Mike had just shut up, got into his car and had gone home. It was then when I saw it, my truck window had been smashed in. I was about to get my phone out of my bag which Edward gave to me to use in an emergency. Which I though to myself this is. My worst fears consumed me when it jumped out of the shadows, I knew from where I was standing that it wasn't human.

It was then when I realised that it or should I say VAMPIRE had my coat in his hands and he was smelling it. So I slowly walked backwards to be stopped by this vampire who I had never met in my life, 'Because I have met so many vampires,' I though to myself… what a stupid question.

When he spoke up he made me jump. "I just can't resist, but I wanna have a little fun," he said in my ear. He pulled me half a second later to my truck and had me up against the trucks frame, with his teeth going up and down my neckline. I wanted to scream but I knew that no one would hear me. Then all I heard was another car coming in to Newton's parking lot.
