The Unknown Place – (Chapter: Chapter 1: “To Worry To Hurt To Love”)
The shuffling outside my door has stopped and from underneath I can see little toes that have moved to just outdside my door and then a voice. "Are you okay in there?" I reply a simple "I’m fine" and the feet shy away from the door again but not in a pacing manner this time, they just guide the body attatched to them backwards to lean against the wall nearest my door. That’s not Dillan’s voice. Who the hell is here with me? OMG, I really have no desire to be murdered or brutally beaten or tortured like that aurthor in "Misery." Think. Think. Think. THINK, dammit. I could just climb out of my window, no to risky, I’m on the 3rd floor. I could just…no that won’t work either. I pick up my phone and start to dial Dillian to see if she let anyone in the room before she left then it struck me that the person would hear me calling for help so I decided a text would be best. Please be awake Dillian. Please reply. Pleeeeease tell me you know who is stalking around outside my room. Message sent now I play the waiting game, which doesn’t last long, but it’s not a message from Dillan. It’s from Ashley. Why is she texting me this early in the morning. I didn’t think she knew this early in the morning unless in included a extremely hot wake up call of nibbling, licking, biting and…you get the point.
"I’m awake and you’re not with me << my sad face. You wanna grab a bite to eat. I miss you and I know you’re awake cuz…oh nevermind but I know you’re awake. Call me…PLEASE CALL ME!!!"
Okay that sounding like a plea for help. Maybe her roommates are there again instead of at some random frat house. I always wondered how she got stuck with the most complete opposite of people or why she hasn’t moved out yet. Her reply was always, "moving out means I actually have to MOVE THINGS, and with Aiden away at games or partying so much he isn’t the most dependable moving man. And besides, my slutty roommates are really never here but when they are they make sure you know it." I don’t blame her from hating them, I did at first but not once I got a glimpse of what she goes through. I’ve had the meaningless conversations with the girls a few times seeing as Ashley is never ready on time and they have unexpectedly called it upon themselves to keep me ‘entertained’ while I wait, when I would much rather just sit quietly in her room with a magazine or music or ANYTHING! Those girls are life-sucking leaches. It hurts so bad just being around them that one time I had to literally take an asprin after trying to keep up with some random rant about how they managed to dodge death like that one movie, "destination something" as they called it. Never again, now Ash either pick me up or I just wait in the car. I just makes life easier and less ‘dense.’
