“You’re the one talking about being naked!”

            “While that is deliciously kinky I’d much rather have the real thing; when can you come back?”

            “I’m at my place, why don’t you just come over?” She answered, making me jump up and start pulling on clothes.

            “Ashley, do you want to get something to eat?” Kimberly asked, coming into my room without knocking.

            “Was that Kimberly?” Spencer asked, not sounding too pleased.

            “I can’t Kim; I’m going over to Spencer’s,”

            “Jesus, I haven’t seen you in months and you’re spending all your time with your girlfriend!”

            “That’s right bitch!” Spencer yelled, as if Kimberly could hear her. I stifled a laugh and shrugged.

            “We’ll hang out soon,” I promised Kimberly, as I finished buttoning my jeans. She just nodded and sat down on my bed as I pulled a shirt over my head.

            “Tell her to back off!” Spencer said over the phone, making me laugh again.

            “I will babe,” I promised, “I’ll see you in a few minutes.” I hung up and turned to Kimberly with an exasperated sigh. “You’re making Spencer freak out.”

            “Oh come on Ashley, why are you with her anyways? I thought that you didn’t do relationships?”

            “She’s different.” I said, as I walked towards my bathroom. Kimberly scoffed and got up to follow me.

            “Yeah, sure she is. That’s why she didn’t call you for five years.” So maybe I had told Kimberly a few things when I was drunk.

            “I’m the one that ruined it, I turned her down.”

            “Yeah well if she really cared for you all that much then she wouldn’t have you let you go. Even when you broke up with her you still wanted to be her friend. Why couldn’t she extend the same thing?”

            “I don’t know.”

            “Exactly, the girl doesn’t call you for five years and now suddenly she’s all over you again? Now you two are so in love right? Let me guess, you spend every waking moment together but she doesn’t want to take it to the next level and move in? Or wait, I’ll bet that you two fight all the time and then she makes it up to you by kissing you or giving you an orgasm, so you don’t question it anymore, you just let her win.” I gripped my brush tightly as she ranted on, talking about things that were completely true. Why hadn’t I seen it before?

            “Maybe you should go,” I said in a tense whisper. Kimberly just shook her head and left me in the bathroom, suddenly questioning if Spencer was playing with me.
