Spencer’s lips were shocked by the cool air when they were left alone, however they weren’t disregarded for long as the blonde began biting her bottom lip when she felt Ashley, holding the back of her head for dear life, finally reach her pulse point.

Knowing not to be rough enough to make a conspicuous mark, Ashley knew just how much pressure and bite she could exert to make sure her presence was known, even if it was just to Spencer in this moment. A blonde head rolled back unconsciously, allowing her partner easier access.

Involuntarily, an “Oh, God, Ash” slipped out of bruised lips in a heavy breath. This only seemed to urge the brunette on in her actions.

At first, Spencer thought the ringing was just imagined – She was feeling a little light headed. However, when it persisted even past when she finally regained her breath, the unfortunate realization hit her that not only was she receiving a phone call at this incredibly inconvenient time, but the ring tone belonged to no one other than her mother.

As hard as it was to concentrate with Ashley moving torturously slow down her neck, she had just enough left in her to know that she had to take this call.

“Ash?” She whispered.

“Mmmm?” No time for words. Her mouth was otherwise occupied.

“Hey, um, I really have to get that phone call.”

Ashley’s head finally detached for Spencer’s body for only a moment to bring her eyes up to meet blue and reply with a smile and a short, “Nope,” immediately lowering her head and resuming her previous position on Spencer’s neck.

“I’m serious. It’s my mom and I told her to only call if it’s an emergency. Please? Look, I promise we’ll start back up right where we left off. We have all day, remember?”

Apparently this got through to an slightly frustrated Ashley because she slowly lifted her head up and with an overly dramatic sigh, flipped off of Spencer and onto her back on the bed.

Giving the blonde just enough time to catch the call before its last ring, Spencer jumped off the bed and reached for the nightstand.

“Hello?” She panted, her voice more than a bit strained and out of breath.

“Oh. Hi, Mom.” She rolled her eyes at Ashley, pointing to the phone in her hand and making a talking sign with her fingers, connecting her thumb to the rest of her digits.

Ashley laughed and then pointed to the bathroom and mouthed ‘Be right back.’ Spencer nodded in response and continued on her conversation with her mother.

After a few minutes of pleasantries and another few minutes of annoyance at the fact that there was no emergency, her mom just wanted to know ‘how her baby was doing,’ she managed to get off the phone and noticed that Ashley was still missing.

Hopping off the bed and walking over to the bathroom door, she knocked quietly and accompanied it with an, “Ash?”

It took a minute, but a response came.

“Um, yeah, be right out.” The voice sounded different, but Spencer couldn’t quite place the emotion. Shrugging her shoulders and attributing it to their intense make out session, she made her way back over to the bed and sat there patiently, trying to ignore the burning between her legs.

True to her world, Ashley came out of the bathroom a few moments later, but something was off. She wasn’t the witty, perky girl Spencer had woken up with this morning. This girl had her shoulders slumped over and looked scared, almost nervous.

The blonde stood up from the bed and took a step toward Ashley, to which Ashley responded with an even quicker step backwards. It was as if she couldn’t even stand to look or be near Spencer.

“Ash–”

“Hey, um, I’m not feeling great, so can we take a raincheck?” Blue eyes searched for brown, but the brunette’s head stayed down.

“Uh, yeah. I mean, of course. Why don’t you just lay down here and I’ll–”

Spencer looked up just in time to see the door of the bedroom shutting behind a thin body.
