Time Doesn’t Exist. Clocks Exist. – (Chapter: Ch.6: Spencer, Meet Wanda)

“Nope. Rocks, all rocks,” Spencer said with a grin as she set her glasses down on the table.

The brunette sat down on the other end of the couch and handed the extra glass of wine to Spencer.

“Didn’t mean to interrupt your…” she looked at the magazine the girl had in her hand, “studying?”

“Nope, work. Kind of. I mean, it’s pretty much an unwritten rule that when you work in finance, The Wall Street Journal becomes your bible. Not quite what you’d call a page turner, but it’s not too bad.”

“Huh. Wouldn’t have pegged you for a finance chick.”

“Really?” Spencer let out with a chuckle, “What would you have pegged me for?”

“Hmmm.” The brunette pretended to be in deep thought, “President of the towel-wearing, Walt Whitman fanatics fan club?”

The blonde could feel her face instantly redden and she silently sent up a curse to whoever was listening.

One thing. I ask you for one thing, and you can’t grant it. Thanks, Big Guy.

“Sorry. Couldn’t help it,” Ashley replied with a huge grin, “Won’t bring it up again, I promise.”

Yeah, right. As if life would be that fair.

“Anyways…” Spencer said, trying to change the topic, “what do you do?”

    “Everything.”

    “Everything?”

    “Everything.”

    “Everything what?”

    “Everything everything.”

    “Ashley!”

The brunette let out a laugh, took a breath and answered, “dog walker, chef, painter, singer, waitress, guitarist, telemarketer, saleswoman, photographer, drummer, clown, teacher, house sitter, basically all around woman of the world.”

    “Wow. Everything.”

    “Everything.”

“So why don’t you settle down, pick just one?”

“Why? Why do that when I can experience so much more by trying all of these different things. Sure, I may never be Rachael Ray or Ansel Adams, but I have fun, and I don’t tie myself down.”

Spencer took this in as she took a sip out of her glass, leaving a moment of silence hanging in the air.

“Plus, I think Aiden’s mom would like that a little too much…” she added with a chuckle.

“Not a big fan of the variety in career choices?”

“Not so much. She hates the fact that even as Aiden gets all these promotions, he stays with me.” The brunette put on a funny, high pitched voice, “Aiden J. Dennison. That girl is going nowhere. You are going somewhere. Nowhere. Somewhere. Nowhere. Somewhere. Where do you want to be?”

    1. Oh Snap. I kinda just got all caught up on your story and let me tell you that is it so fucking awesome. I seriously am in love with it and if I had it my way, you’d be updating like crazy. I love this. You are awesome and there is something about the way that you write that makes everything seems so intellecual and funny. Wow. You can’t always say that about everything so here’s to you *raises hand in salute* G’nite and God Bless. (PMS please)

    2. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite stories on here. Wanda…LOL! That cracked me up! Now I’m just wondering what Ashley is thinking of Spencer. It bothers me to see Ash and Aiden together. But I guess that has more to do with the season finale than anything. PMS!
