I laugh. “Not like she could beat me in a fight.”
Glen and Aiden laugh. “Spencer always wins when she gets into something. One of the punks attacked her, and she told me if I stepped in she would slash my throat while I slept. She placed that girl in the hospital. A lot of pent up anger issues.”
I shook my head. “Brunettes always win.” I smile. “Maybe one day we will see.”
“Aiden!” Spencer yells from across the gym.
“Shit. Bye!” he says running towards her.
“She will come around.” Glen pats my back.
“I doubt it.” I smile

“Ashley… I got a call from school today.” Arthur says while passing the bread around the dinner table.
“I thought they might contact you.” I smile innocently. Glen and Spencer look at their father curiously.
“You asked everyone of your teachers to do independent study in the library because it seems it only takes you less than 5 minutes for everything the throw at you.”
I laugh. “I told you, your guys public school is a waste of my time. I am perfectly capable to teach myself.”
Arthur scratches his head. “The principal and I really do not know what to do with you. He is thinking of early graduation.”
Glen gasps. “She is only 16!”
I look at him and smile.
“Yes. But she mocked her calculus teacher.”
I laugh. “He gave the class the wrong answer.”
Arthur smiles. “Might be true but The principle believe you cannot further your education there.”
“I doubt I can further my education in college either, I am better studying alone.”
“So what do you suppose we do with you?”
“I think they should give me study hall the whole day and I just take a test at the end of the year. And maybe…. Some days I can go with Paula to the emergency room?” I ask sweetly eyeing her.
“That would be amazing!” she says excitedly. “I will get it cleared with my boss.”
“See…. I will be learning some things as I stay here!” I say with fake enthusiasm.
Arthur smiles curiously.
Spencer still refuses to make eye contact with me every time I look at her. and the fact she is extremely quiet.
