Ashley rubbed her sleep filled eyes and gently awoke. Slowly opening her eyes, she saw that she was still in the same position as she was last night. She yawned and squeezed Spencer close for a moment before removing herself and tiptoeing into the kitchen.

                Opening the small closet, she removed the pancake mix she had gotten last night, thinking carefully about the ingredients she would need. After getting out a bowl, she started mixing up her ingredients.

                Ten minutes and a few scorch marks later, she had finished the pancakes and had started cutting up strawberries.

                The brunette felt a warm set of arms wrap around her. “Good morning,” Spencer said as she rested her head on the other’s shoulder.

                “Good morning to you too,” Ashley said while spinning around in the blonde’s arms. They smile at each other and shared a loving hug. Reaching behind her, Ashley grabbed a strawberry wedge and put it into Spencer’s mouth.

                Spencer closed her eyes as she chewed the sweet fruit. “These are really good,” the blond said with a shy smile.

                After leaning in to kiss the blond, Ashley responded, “You’re right. They are,” she said, flashing the blond her trademark smile.

                Spencer looked at the clock on the stove. She realized she had to leave for work in twenty minutes. As she sat down and started to eat her delicious pancakes, she looked lovingly up at Ashley. “Let’s go out for dinner tonight.”

                Ashley looked up at her thoughtfully. “How about a movie instead? We can sit in the back row and hook up the whole time like teenagers!” Ashley said with a wink.

                They both erupted into a fit of laughter. “Sure,” Spencer said, “but dinner after. Shoot, I’m going to be late!” She took one last bite and ran into the bathroom and turned on the shower.

                Knowing that she was in a hurry, Ashley went into their bedroom and chose a maroon business suit for Spencer to wear. She carefully slipped it inside the steamy bathroom and heard Spencer singing in the shower.
