    Spencer faces her fears, Ashley has some secrets of her own.

    When Spencer got back to the nightclub she could hear the sound of Ashley’s encore beginning so she sat outside the side stage door and waited for the show to be over. After the flood of people had left the club a bouncer came out the side door and told Spencer she had to leave "sorry miss, but fans cannot be waiting outside these doors" "Sir, Ashley knows me it’s important that I speak to her" "yes miss, that’s what everyone says" "Please just tell her Spencer is outside". The bouncer halted at Spencer’s name and studied her for a moment "Well i’ll be damned, I never thought i’d see the day that the infamous Spencer was waiting outside a show for Ash". Spencer just stared at the man "Oh girl, the whole damn crew knows who you are…every song Ashley writes is about you, her guitar case is covered in pictures of you two. Hell I was on tour with her back in high school when all she could talk or think about was you two. She’s been waiting a long time for this day Miss Carlin. She’ll be out in a few minutes". Spencer didn’t know what to say so she just sat down and waited.
    About fifteen minutes later Ashley came out of the club, but she wasn’t alone she was carrying a little girl who looked to be about three years old and a mix between a latina and a white man. Spencer stopped short and stared at Ashley who looked up and realized for the first time that Spencer was there. Ashley brought the little girl over to the entrance of the tour bus and lifted her up onto the stairs "Aiden I want you to go play with your toys for a little while okay?" "Okay Mashy" the little girl said then ran away to play with her toys. "Mashy?" Spencer asked which was the first thing she could think of "It’s sort of a combination of Mommy and Ashley" Ashley explained. Spencer sat down, she was dizzy, she felt sick. Ashley sensed what was causing this reaction and sat down next to her. Spencer looked at Ashley with tears in her eyes "You have a daughter?? Do you have a husband or a wife as well?" Spencer asked. Ashley shook her head "Aiden isn’t mine Spencer. That’s why we go with ‘Mommy Ashley’ because I want her to know that I am her mom now, but she has another mommy too. Spencer…Aiden is Madison’s. Madison died giving birth to her and left explicit instructions before she went into the hospital just in case anything happened that if anything was to happen to her she wanted to baby left to me. Madison and me fought all the time in high school, but early on in high school and before that she was my best friend. The cheer bitches were never really her friends, but after she dated me for awhile they got to be even worse. Me and Madison began fighting all the time in hopes of putting some serious distance between us in the eyes of everyone we knew. Madison knew that if anything ever happened to her she wouldn’t be able to trust the cheer bitches with the baby, so she asked that she be left to me and that I name her. Madison told me to name her anything I wanted but make sure it meant something so I named her after her father, her mother and the woman I hoped to raise her with" Spencer looked at Ashley willing her to go on "her name is Aiden Maddy Spencer Davies". Spencer began to cry "oh god Ash…you named your daughter after me?" Ashley just looked at her. "Well Spence…I always believed that she would be your daughter too". Suddenly Spencer had another thought "umm Ash? If Aiden is the father…why isn’t she with him?" Ashley suddenly turned very serious. "Aiden didn’t know he had a daughter until only a few months ago. I hadn’t seen him in years since graduation because when you ran away so did I. Madison gave birth to Aiden the year after we graduated high school. Aiden knew that Madison died giving birth, but he always assumed it was Glen’s and he always assumed it had gone up for adoption. He didn’t know that I had her. A few months ago Aiden started asking where her daddy was so I thought it was an appropriate time to call up Aiden and tell him. He’s been out to see her twice while we’ve been on tour and they get along great, but we’ve both decided that I will keep her and raise her as my own. He’s not ready to be a parent yet." Spencer was in shock from all this information so she just sat there staring at the ground.
    "My turn Spencer…you asked your questions now I get to ask mine. Where did you go? Why did you up and leave me like that. I wanted so badly to come home to you only to come home and have my heart ripped out when I found out you had run away and refused to see or acknowledge me. Why Spence??" Ashley began crying and so did Spencer. Spencer found herself wrapping her arms around Ashley in a way that was so familiar and so comforting to them both that they almost forgot it had been so long. "I’m sorry Ashley, i’m sorry. I was so hurt and so upset when you said you wouldn’t be coming back to spend our senior year with me that I just gave up. I graduated early, packed up and moved out here to Massachusetts to attend Harvard. I wanted to call you, I wanted to tell you I was sorry and beg for your forgiveness, but I didn’t know how. I thought you would hate me forever". Ashley pulled back and stared into Spencer’s eyes "I could never hate you Spencer Carlin. Never." Just as the two girls sat staring at each other little Aiden yelled from the bus "Mommy i’m HUNGRY" and Spencer and Ashley just laughed. Ashley held out her hand to Spencer and told her "come on Spence…we need to catch up, to try and find our friendship again and it’s only fair you meet your namesake so let’s go grab a bite to eat shall we?" And the two girls went to join the toddler on the bus. They both knew that it was going to be a long rocky road if they were to ever recover what they had been, but for tonight they were content to just eat happy meals with a bubbly little four year old that fully embodied the spirit of four teenagers that had grown up together at King’s High and that she had been named after.

    6. This story is interesting but why did you make the little girl’s first name be Aiden, it would have made more sense if her first name was Madison or something like that. Post more soon please.

    8. As, I just told someone yesterday, I love fics that have Ash as a famous singer or Ash being of the verge of becoming a favorite singer. Im kinda surprised by how Spencer ran away, Ash didn’t cheat on her or anything. Ashley deserved for Spencer to stick by her. Im disappointed in Spencer, but they are back in each other’s company so I guess its ok now. Im flad that Aiden is not Ashley’s biologically, but I am glad she is taking care of Madison’s child. I feel like everything was a little rushed in this fic, like its kinda moving to fast, but its still good. I hope to see multi-page updates
