    Spencer’s parents get a call from mall security. What to do? What to do?

    I was so scared, I don’t know what they do to kids in this situation. Ashley and I sat on these red, hard, plastic chairs while the security guard made himself comfy in his big black office chair.

    Security guard: “How old are you girls?”

    I was still in such a state of shock that I couldn’t answer. Luckily I had Ashley. She could stare trouble in the face and laugh at it.

    Ashley: “ 18.”

    Ok, neither of us are 18.

    Security guard: “How about I see some Id?”
    Ashley: “I don’t have mine on me.”

    That’s a lie. She always had her on her.

    Security guard: “Well, I could always call the real cops and let them deal with you girls.”
    Ashley: “Oh, wait. I seem to remember putting it in my back just this morning.”
    Security guard: “Uh huh.”

    We both got out our Id’s and handed them over.

    Security guard: “18 eh?”
    Ashley: “Close enough.”
    Security guard: “ Seeing as BOTH of you are minors I’m going to have to be notifying both of your parents about what went on today.”

     Oh, no. He can’t. My mom would destroy Ashley and I. I would never get to see her again.

    Spencer: “You can’t. My mom would completely destroy us. She CAN’T know about us.”
    Security Guard: “If I was the one that caught you I could just let you go, but the manage of the store is going to make sure I do my job and punish the two of you. It’s not the more fun side to the job, but I have to do it. You are both under age and legally I have to call both of your parents. What are their numbers?”

    Ashley gave him her dads number and muttered “good luck” after wards.

    He called the number and of course he didn’t get an answer. He had a funny look on his face right before he hung up.

    Security Guard: “Nice try. Now what’s the REAL number?”
    Ashley: “I gave you my dads real number.”

    She sounded irritated.

    Security Guard: “You expect me to believe your father is THE Raife Davies?”
    Ashley : “Yes, I do.”

    He paused for a second and picked up her Id. He had a shocked look on his face.

    Security Guard: “Wow. It is true. I guess I can let you go. Seeing as you are the offspring of a rock legend.”
