    There’s nothing quite like rejection

    “Honey, that isn’t true and you know it. She loves you so much but she just can’t deal.” It was so admirable to see her girlfriend defend her mother. Someone who would probably love nothing more than to dump a bucket of holy water on her and watch as she melts into the floor and out of her daughter’s life. If only the woman could see this.

    After much sniffling and many pieces of toilet paper, Ashley and Spencer made it out of the bathroom stall to wash up at the sinks. The water felt cool and refreshing against her flushed skin, a renewal of energy entered her being. Whether it was simply a short jolt of adrenaline or the prospect of having to see the shrink in this state, she wasn’t sure. Truth be told it was probably both, but at least she had one person to count on.

    In the mirror, her reflection boasted a disheveled mess that looked like she had been through a car wreck and survived… barely. Her hair was wild and her eyes were bloodshot and puffy. ‘Great. I look like shit, I feel like shit, and now I have to go and shoot the shit with some stranger… just great.’

    “You ready to go?” Ashley asked.

    With a silent nod, they left the washrooms hand in hand, heading towards the elevators and up to the 6th floor. The hallways were carpeted in maroon with tiny speckles of dark blue and purple interwoven into the material. Spencer knew this because she kept her head down for most of the walk until they stopped and Ashley lifted her head, gazing into her eyes momentarily before placing a gentle kiss on her lips.

    She wanted to stay this way forever. She wanted a box to be built around them while a cement truck poured concrete inside until it engulfed them, to be kissing her for the rest of eternity. But this kiss ended and all she was left with was the tingling sensation of love in her skin.

    Ashley smiled at her, something the blonde could never grow tired of. “It’s gonna be fine. I promise.”

    They turned to face the door and on it was a brass plate engraved with black writing. Dr. Lisa Erickson PhD Juvenile Psychiatrist. Juvenile. A part of Spencer hated being labeled one, the title carrying the added description of being irresponsible, inexperienced, and immature. She was far from any of those terms but she was still a minor. A juvenile. With a deep breath, she watched as Ashley turned the knob and opened the door to the waiting area. The walls were a mustard yellow with black leather sofas and a coffee table in the middle that held up various reading materials. Pictures of meadows and green pastures hung on the walls. It was obvious that the room was planned to induce calm on whoever stayed in it. A carefully manipulated scene to ease whatever anxiety plagued the person who stepped through the door.

    5. WOOOOO you posted! lol now that i no longer have “hanging by a moment” lol…im super happy oh man i sooo wanted Ashh to beat the shit out of Paula…what a bitch!!!!! lol…oh and btw! I was watching the movie Million Dollar Baby the other day, and the weridest thing occured to me…the german chick looks almost exactly how you described Dano in your story..well i think the german chick might be a little more “manlier” than our good old Dano, but i think you should take a look and decide that for urself. Other than that all i have to say…more like beg you to do is to PLEASE POST AGAIN SOON!
