You Saw Me – (Chapter: You saw me Chapter 7)
‘Oh I didn’t mention?’ Well, Glen and Clay are popular within their own cliques and Glen happens to be in Ashley’s. It doesn’t concern me though cause they made this rule that no one was going to know that we’re siblings, they only made up the rule after I received my nickname.
“Glen calm down! As long as it’s not true it doesn’t concern us unless someone finsout we’re…” Clay says annoyed.
“siblings.” I finish his sentence for him.
“Exactly.” Glen says
“Look, the deal remains in place. I really care about you or what you do as long as it doesn’t tarnish what I, what we’ve” Clay points to himself and Glen. “worked so hard to built up, then it really doesn’t matter.”
I furrow my eyebrows and looks towards the floor, suddenly taking an interest to my shoes.
It’s all the same to them. It’s all about the image that they’ve built; it’s all about trying to be somebody that you’re not. It’s all about hiding the parts that won’t be accepted and replacing them with false parts that people will accept. It’s all about the lies.
Once we reach home I quickly run up to my room and let out the flood of tears that I’ve been holding in through the ride home.
I hate it. I hate how they’re here. I hate how they can us family when we’re around mom and dad but can’t even look at me in school. I hate how mom and dad know but don’t even care. I hate how mom buries herself with her work while dad continues to ignore me.
I want things to change. I want them to see. I want them to know.
———————————————-Flashback Ends——————————————-
That day remains vivid in my mind. My bruise stayed for a good two or three weeks. For the remainder of the school term, my new nickname stayed. No one believed it true since Aiden was drunk but they called me it anyway.
Though all the events in my freshmen year paled in comparison to my junior year. Ashley was finally a senior and on her way to graduate that year. Me on the other hand never made it to graduate at King High. Things went wrong, horrible wrong. But I don’t blame her. I hate her but I don’t blame her. I know that it’s not her fault; I know that’s my fault. It never would have happened if I wasn’t so naïve and confident, confident that I could see Ashley, maybe I never did.

ok i know this was long but OMFG how could you leave it there?! grrrr! anyway I really hate clay and glen and aiden and madison. and it’s sad that ash is just sort of neutral around everyone and hides just like spence does. but I’m glad to have gotten quite a bit of back story in this chap. and no joking I actually said outloud to myself today (well yesterday it’s 1 am here) ‘I wonder what happened to You Saw Me?’ and then bam you updated. it was great and I can’t wait for the next one. hope you’re doing ok!
oh almost forgot. I can’t wait to see what happens when aiden remembers who spence is
yep- im totally hooked and waiting patiently for updates- long, short, whatever :) oh and despite the warning- im still hoping for a happy spashley ending :)
Loved the lengthy update. So we’re all set for the big reveal??? Can’t wait and to see their reactions and what happened to Spencer at school……PMS!
aw, poor spencer! what kind of douches just ignore their sister being beat up?! aiden and madison really need to go jump off a cliff. and i’m really excited to come back to the present tense and see ash’s reaction! pms please!
