Your secret is safe with me – (Chapter: You gotta go, you gotta go…!)
“Well you see I …. got lost on my way to the umm bathroom”
“Lost”
“Right that makes sense people get lost all the time right?” God I’m so slow why would I say that out loud”
“What? Are you asking me or telling me… just never mind, how about you just happen to get lost again somewhere else.” I really don’t know what is wrong with me right now, I know I should be paying attention to what Ashley is saying but I can’t seem to focus. There has to be something wrong with me I am practically drooling over her. There is no way that I am into her like that I’m not gay I can’t be and that’s finale. God now I’m arguing with myself, why am I evening having these thoughts my freaking boyfriend is sitting down stair. Which just so happens to be her brother that make my insane ideas even worse. By the way when did I stand up?
“Listen blondie I don’t know what little fairy tale land you just spaced off to but you gotta get out. The only reason I’m not throwing you out on your cute little ass is because you’re my brother’s girlfriend. But the game is over now and you’re not the winner so time to leave.”
“How did you pick me up so easily I’m at least two inch taller than you and you think my butt is cute?” I replied blushing
“What no no listen I didn’t say that “
“Yes you did”
“No”
“Yes”
“Whatever just please can you leave its bad enough that I don’t get any alone time as it is, plus if my father founds you in here I am screwed I’m already in enough trouble please don’t make it worse.”
“Ya right you’re just trying to avoid the topic at hand, it’s not like you’ve never had friends up here before.”
“I don’t really have friends, definitely not ones I would bring home so.”
“Fibber I recall seeing you with that one girl what’s her name? Chelsea ya that’s it at least on a few occasions.”
“Were not really friends like that we just have mutual interests.”
“Really like what?”
“Drawing for one and also music.” After Ashley said that I finally took the opportunity to look around her bedroom. It was at least two times the size of mine, with a big canopy bed up against the wall. There were two things I noticed one there was nothing really personalized about this room. There were no pictures on the walls; even the color of paint was plain. The second thing was I noticed there was an enormous stack of what appeared to be sketch pads stack up high in the corner near a desk.
“Oh wow are all those pads filed with drawings?”
Ashley quickly glanced in the direction I had referred to and nodded slightly “Yes they are”
“Can I take a look” I step towards the corner but she quickly placed her body in front of me to block my path.
“No now I’m serious it is officially your time to go I don’t even know why I’ve put up with you for this long, I don’t think I have talked this much this whole year so good bye now and don’t trip on the steps on your way back.”
“Fine I am going” I turned to leave but as I got to the door I turned back around. “Aiden was right you know”
Ashley looked like her head was about to explode from frustration but she took a deep breath and sighed. “About what blondie?”
“That tonight would turn out ok”
“You think so huh?”
“Yup and don’t you think you are getting rid of me this easily I look forward to chatting at school.”
“Anything is possible” Ashley responded chuckling quietly as I closed the door.
“See you laughed" I shouted back through the door “That means we are definitely going to be friends now probably even besties.” I heard Ashley starting to laugh louder as I took the stair with a bounce in my step feeling much happier, lighter than when I first stepped into the Davies household.
