    50 Shades Of Bette Porter

I looked at myself in the mirror trying to get my unkempt hair to do something other than fall flat onto my shoulders. But alas, it wouldn’t work with me, so I threw it up in a ponytail. I wore the best business suit I had. I had wore it to different interviews for jobs, but this interview was different; I’d be driving all the way to Los Angeles to interview a rich artist and gallery owner.

"TK, hurry, you need to be hitting the road now," I heard Alice call from the living room.

Damn Alice Pieszecki, I should be studying for my finals but she’s got me doing this favor. Alice has been my roommate for the last four years. We met at freshman orientation and we clicked. We lived off campus in an apartment her mother bought for us. To say she was rich was an understatement, her mother was one of the most successful mystery and crime novel writers. She now did field reporting for MSNBC.

"Alight Alice, I’m ready," I say walking into the living room.

"Damn Kennard, you do clean up nice."

"Fuck off Alice," I said gazing at her humorously. She was laying on the couch in her UCSB sweat shirt and sheep printed pj pants.

"Thanks again for doing this, you have no idea how much this means."

    "I know I know," I say sighing.

"Here’s your list of questions, a tape recorder, and my notepad."

I got into my old nighty-eight BMW and set off for Los Angeles. It would take me a good couple of hours to get there. Los Angeles was always full of traffic, so I knew to leave early. I popped in one of my favorite cd’s and I drove off.

I got to Los Angeles about an hour before the interview. But alas traffic kept me from the gallery, and I arrived twenty minutes before our meeting. I parked and took a deep breath, why am I doing this? I am out of my depth here, I don’t know how to be a journalist. I am gonna be laughed right out of the office.

I reached the entrance of the Bette Porter Art Gallery West, and I walked in. I immediately looked around at all the art. There was paintings, photographs, animated art, metals, sculpture and even human art! I was in awe of how impressive this was. I walked around for a bit until I reached the elevators. A security guard looked up and smiled at me.

    1. As a lesbian I did read this trilogy and thoroughly enjoyed it. Although straight sex isn’t stimulating to me or appealing I think this story broke news the way it did for being so openly daring. So thanks for the lesbian version I hope it to be miles better.

    2. So I’ve been waiting and waiting for someone to take up this story from a TLW angle. I won’t voice my opinion of the original, but let me say I like your version, Olivia! Can’t wait for the next chapter!

    3. Excellent beginnings for this story. Thank you for taking on the challenge. Should be an interesting journey for our ladies. Please continue. Thank you!

    4. After learning a bit about the origins of the “Fifty Shades” trilogy (Twilight fandom), I knew that it wasn’t for me, all hype aside… But I’m happy to read your take on it. Thanks! :)

    5. I never read 50 shades of grey..but i gather is quite steamy… …and making it TLW style…even more “yummy”…..can’t wait what the next move Bette will make.
